For some reason (I think it was sentimental) I own this movie
and have only watched it once.

I don't think it's a really good movie.

Maybe I need to give it a couple of years
and watch it again.

It's an OK movie... whether I like it whenever I watch it sorta depends on my
mood. The acting of Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst is wonderful, though everyone
else is pretty boring.

And it IS gorgeous to look at. Definitely very flawed though.

Ja, I will give it that much. The sets and cinematography rock.

Kirsten... <sigh>

On a side note, I watched 'The Virgin Suicides' recently.
Interesting movie. I don't wanna spoil it, but the title is very apt,
it (the ending) just completely caught me by surprise.

Not Kirsten's best work : (

February 13th is toooo far away.

The Alien movies rock.....even if you hate the story and the acting,
the creatures were all either created or inspired by HR Giger, a
truelly great surrealist painter/sculpter. One of his paintings has
been my desktop theme for about 2 years now.....and just the other
night, my mom got off the computer(she was using Outlook Express from
my profile) and asked me, seeming quite disturbed, "what's that big
black penis thing on your desktop?" It cracked me up, because it's a
surreal landscape called "NYC XX Subway", and while there is a part of
the landscape that looks like a scrotum, I've never seen a penis in
there......
He *does* have a penis landscape, but I've heard people more
conservative than her have said it looked like "a bunch of globs of
mud"...
But I digress...Giger just plain rocks....he also had a "killer
condom" series of paintings which were both funny, and disturbing.

I liked it, but it could have been better. I kept thinking(every time
I've seen it) "It's a fucking french name!!!!'Luh-STAWT'!!! Not
fucking 'luh-stat', LUHSTAWT!!!!"......
I'm kinda looking forward to the next movie from the Vampire
Chronicals, but that whole "Luhstat" thing bugs me....and I'm VERY
skeptical.....not that I've read ANY of the books, but I knew a guy
whose name really was Lestat, and that whole flat U$A pronunciation
bugs me....

Well, the look of it all, which I agree, is great, so much overshadows
the badly pronounced name Lestat that it's it's most redeeming value.
The acting wasn't too bad, and the look was great, but those damn
Americans ruined it...

Have you seen the movie 'The Killer Condom'?? Magnificent stuff. Any
flick with a hero named Luigi Mackeroni has got to be great.

I think the thing that made A3 fail was also what could have been its
strongest point: The lack of guns. They really didn't use this to good
effect, and the acting isn't that great either. It just completely
lacked spice in most departments, including the "climax"
Syl.

Salinger had the sentence structure of an 8 yr old. Every senntence was
augmented with "goddamn" or "crumby" and after a short while it got terribly
irritating. Nothing of any significance happened in it.
