Hi all,

(Note: Please, _try_ to be serious for half a mo'...;)) I'm trying to
gather information on Connie Booth. She wrote Fawlty Towers with Cleese
and I want to know what else she has written/been in...

The only thing I could find out about her is that she was in a movie
with Ricky Schroeder (blech) and 1974's Romance with a Double Bass
(nudity know what I mean nudge nudge, etc...)

Thanks in advance to all responses.

I couldn't find a copyright note with this,
but I'm quoting it in toto.

Y'all are welcome to use this database (See their info plug at the very
end of this post. They also have FAQs on news.answers and rec.arts.movies,
et cetera
(Hey. Monty Python as art???)

Anyway, the following is pretty comprehensive for movies with Connie Booth.
I'm sure readers of a.f.m-p can help fill in some of the gaps! (Mostly
movie plots)

You can also use it yourself for other actors/movies yah yah yah

Drew aka and see the trivia inherent in the system
aka help, help! I'm being spammed!

Trivia:
- When Arthur rides into the village where the ``witch'' is about to be burnt,
Bedivere is holding a coconut slung between two swallows.

- Some major scenes scripted, but never filmed:
- additional ``Knights who say Ni!'' scene, they intend to call themselves
``the Knights of Nicky-Nicky''
- additional police detective scenes
- several scenes where Arthur and the knights meet ``King Brian, the Wild''.
- After the Bridgekeeper, they come upon the Boatkeeper. ``He who would
cross the Sea of Fate Must answer me these questions twenty-eight!''

- The gorilla hand turning the pages was director 'Terry Gilliam' (qv)'s.

- At the beginning of the ``Bring out your dead'' scene, two nuns with gigantic
mallets can be seen. The original script called for them to be pounding on a
man tied to a cart, but the scene was cut and that glimpse is all that
remains.

- Many scenes were filmed in a city park beside one of London's busiest
intersections.

- Many subtle instances of cat abuse: during the ``bring out your dead'' scene,
the old woman the knights say ``Ni!'' at, etc.

- Most of the castles were cardboard cutouts, and indeed the trailer shows
one of them falling over.

Quotes:
Peasant 1: Who's that there?
Peasant 2: I don't know... Must be a king...
Peasant 1: Why?
Peasant 2: He hasn't got shit all over him.

Arthur: I am your king!
Woman: Well I didn't vote for you!
Arthur: You don't vote for kings.
Woman: Well how'd you become king then?
[Angelic music plays...]
Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite
held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine
providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your
king!
Dennis interrupting: Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin'
swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power
derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcicial aquatic
ceremony!

Dennis: Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just
because some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Dennis: Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some
moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Dennis: Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! Violence inherent in the
system! Violence inherent in the system!

Bedevere: ...and that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana
shaped...
Arthur: This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how
sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes...

Arthur: On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.

Inge: You must spank her well, and after you are done with her, you may
deal with her as you like... and then... spank me!
All: And me! And me too! And me!
Inge: Yes! Yes, you must give us all a good spanking!

Inge: And after the spanking, the oral sex!
Galahad: Well I could stay a bit longer...

Knight: We are the Knights who say... NI!

Knight 1: We are now no longer the Knights who say Ni.
Knight 2: NI!
Other Knights: Shh...
Knight 1: We are now the Knights who say... "Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG!
Zoom-Boing! Z'nourrwringmm!"

King of Swamp Castle: We live in a bloody swamp. We need all the land we
can get.
Prince Herbert: But I don't like her.
King of Swamp Castle: Don't like her? What's wrong with her. She's
beautiful, she's rich, she's got huge ... tracts of land.
