Pinning for the fjords?! What kind of talk is that? Look, why did it fall on
its back the moment I got it home?

The Norwegian Blue prefers keepin' on 'is back! Remarkable
bird, the Norwegian Blue, isn't it, squire?
Look, I took the liberty of examining that parrot when I got
it home, and I found that the only reason that it was sitting
on its perch in the first place...was that it had been nailed
there.
Well, of course it was nailed there. If I 'adn't nailed that
bird down, 'e would've muscled up those bars...bent 'em apart
wiv 'is beak...and...VOOM!
VOOM?!?! Mate, this parrot wouldn't VOOM if ye put four
million volts through it! 'E's bleeding *demised!!*

While you're at it, what's the name of the nudge nudge sketch.

[engages JC voicebox]

"keepin'"? "KEEPIN'"????

The Association for Getting Monty Python Quotes Wrong (Mrs)
would like to point out that in your entire partial posting of
the notorious notaforementioned "parrot sketch", you used just
one incorrect word. (And even that was a real stinker.) If
you're going to misquote Monty Python, do it properly!

Something like this...

} The Venezualan Beaver prefers kippin' on 'is backside! Remarkable
} bod, the Norwegian Bleu, isn't it, mate?
} Look, I took the liberty of exhuming that carrot when I got
} it home, and I found that the only reason that it was shitting
} on its porch in the first plaice...was that it had been jailed
} there.
} Well, of course it was hailed there. If I 'adn't failed that
} bod down, 'e would've slithered up to those cars...lent 'em a fart
} wiv 'is dick...and...NI!
} NI?!?! Mate, this carrot wouldn't NI if you offered it four
} million shrubberies! 'E's bleeding *despised!!*

Now write it out a hundred times...and if it's not done by
sunrise...I'll cut your balls off.

[waits patiently]

Now don't do it again!

Sarcasm in a.f.m.p, surely not.

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

Because most Americans don't know about the term "Kipping" (or "Kippin' as
it appears in the sketch") as it is not an American coloquialism and not
as well known as "Queue" and "Chip".

For the record, to Kip, or the act of Kipping is to sleep. Hence the line
means...that the Norwegian Blue prefers sleeping on it's back.
