Here's another idea: Python songs that you've heard way too much of (a
small but significant list)
My votes for the best:
*in no particular order, at least not yet! Too hard to decide!*
The Penis Song (oh, thank you very much!)
Every Sperm Is Sacred
Always Look On The Bright Side of Life
The Meaning of Life
The Money Song
The Camelot Song (the dancing knights in "Grail")
The Chartered Accountancy Song... whatever the real title is (at the end
of, "The Crimson Permanent Assurance", in the "Meaning of Life" movie)
Terry Jones sings a really gross song about getting syph and gonorrhea
from a lover... don't know the title
Honorable Mention:
Sir Robin's Minstrels ("...and there was much rejoicing.")
Underrated:
"I like Chinese"
Decomposing Composers
Henry Kissinger (prolly too obscure to be appreciated, especially these days)
Heard too much of:
SPAM!!!! (fun to joke about though)
Lumberjack song
Sit On My Face (ha ha very funny I know what you're thinking)
REALLY STUPID
I've Got Two Legs
Never Be Rude To An Arab
I'm Worried..... (The Worry Song?)
Please note that the above three were all sung by Terry Jones. Were they
also written by him, therefore? Is that why they all made the STOOPID
list?
I welcome your comments, posts and follow ups

Finland! Finland! Finland! :)
Brian Song. Don't know why, I just like it!
Galaxy Song. I like Eric Idle's singing. :)
: Here's another idea: Python songs that you've heard way too much of (a

The Lumberjack Song. It's good, but damn, enough's enough!
: The Chartered Accountancy Song... whatever the real title is (at the end
: of, "The Crimson Permanent Assurance", in the "Meaning of Life" movie)
Accountancy Shanty. That's what it says on the Monty Python Sings CD.

Medical Love Song. From the aforementioned CD.
It may be gross but I think it's hilarious!

Hmmmm. Never heard that.

I LOVE the Henry Kissinger song!!!!! It's also on the Monty Python Sings
CD. For pure silliness, you can't beat it!

I never get tired of Sit On My Face. (Stop laughing.)

I'm So Worried (Same CD. It has damn near everything on it apparently.)
Agreed, on all 3 counts.

Terry Jones is fully reponsible for Never Be Rude to an Arab and I'm So
Worried. Terry Gillaim wrote and composed I've Got Two Legs.

The Medicinal Love Song, and I believe that it was Graham Chapman, not
Terry Jones. It's actually *quite* hilarious, IMO. I shared it with my
mom, who loved it.

Actually, I've Got Two Legs was sung by Terry Gilliam.
Seeing you're so interested in Python songs, may I suggest getting a copy
of Monty Python Sings? Besides having most of their songs (35, isn't
it?), it lists the composer and lyricist of each.
Analda House aka Mock Frog??!?

My favorite, I could sing it right now, in fact I will!

I like 'I'm So Worried', a lot.

Hey, "I'm So Worried", is many, many times better as the

I really love "Christmas in heaven" off Monty Python sings
as well as the trio of songs off one of their older albums
where they sing about agricultural methods using reggae and
sixties sounding rock songs -anyone know what I'm taling about?
: "There's evidence."
"There's evidence (evidence)
evidence (evidence)
evidence,evidence,evidence...
There's evidence of settlements
With one long village street
Farmworks, houses, little towns,
The framework was complete
By the time...
Of the Norman Conquest!
The rural framework was complete!
Rural...
Framework...
Was...
Complete...
Or how about this balls-to-the-wall rocker:
"Oh, it's written in the village scrolls
That if a plowman has an oxen
And that oxen is lent,
then the villeins and the plowman
Got to have the lords consent.
Yeah!
And the villiens and the plowman
Got to have the lords consent..."
(repeat)
It's off of _Contractual Obligations_, along with Terry Jones' "I'm so
worried about the baggage retrieval system they've got at Heathrow."

: I don't think this song was on that otherwise definitive compilation,
: "Monty Python Sings". Am I right? How could they have left this off???
: Was it perhaps released by Eric Idle and not Monty Python???
You're right. It's not on "Monty Python Sings." I had forgotten all
about that little gem until you mentioned it, and I have no clue why they
left it off.

It's off of the Matching Tie And Handkerchief.
From the Show: The Background to History, Part 4.
"The Ronnettes Sing Medieval Agrarian History"
Rumor has it that it's probably sold out because it's terrifically popular.
They do have "First World War Noises" though ...

I can't believe I forgot that one. It definately is Python. It's on the
Contractual Obligation Album.
Incidentally, in the UK when the released "Always Look on the
Bright Side of Life" on record single, this was on the B side. I don't
know if it was released in the US at the same time, but it got to #1 I
think in the British charts ('92 was it?), and it had "I'm so worried"
sung by Terry Jones on the B side, followed by that song who's title I'm
not going to type out again cos it's just too long to bother with
really. Sorry.
(Apologies for the lateness of this reply, but this is my first
day back after the Christmas holidays. And term doesn't even start till
Monday...)
