Eric Idle married an Australian actress named Lyn Ashley in July of 1969.
They had a son, Carey, in 1973. They were divorced in 1975.
Then, in 1977, Eric met an American model named Tania Kosevich in New
York. They married in 1981 in Paul Simon's New York flat.

Oh! I always wondered if maybe it was a joke. Did any of the other
Python-bearers appear in the show? I have seen the episode of Saturday
Night Live hosted by Michael Palin with his mother.

In "Life Before and After Monty Python", Idle makes reference to his
wife. He was working on a movie with Kathy Ireland (I can't remember
what it was called). He said that he fell in love with Kathy Ireland's
legs and that they were the most beautiful legs he had ever seen, after
his wife's.

Eric Idle has been married twice, first in 1969 to a woman named Lynn
something, and after divorcing her in 1975 (I think), he married an
American woman named Tania and is still married to her.
More FYI:
He has a son from his first marriage named Carey.
