Scenes in the trailer which did not appear in the movie:
1. During the "that's not your mother, it's a man baby!" scene there's a
line which didn't appear in the final film. After Basil introduces Austin
to his mother, there's a shot of Austin smiling and saying, "lovely". Then
the scene proceeds as normal with Austin punching her. This makes me think
that this scene was even longer originally, since it's a pretty big
transition from Austin being happy to meet Basil's mom to punching her!
Scenes from foreign cuts of the film:
1. OK, Christian Slater is listed as being in Austin Powers in numerous
filmographies but I watched the movie the whole way through and couldn't
find him. Then I read of a scene which appeared on some foreign prints of
the film (don't know which countries) wherein Christian Slater (as a guard
in the Virtucon facility) is hypnotized by Austin and made to fetch him
some ice cream!
Scenes mentioned during the audio commentary on the laserdisc by Mike
Myers and Jay Roach:
1. A followup to the "sexy stews" scene where Austin dials up the phone
number (777-FILM) given to him by the flight attendant only to discover
that it's a movie review line.
2. The "I have a whole bag of shh with your name on it" scene was said to
originally have run for fifteen minutes!
Scenes which can be deduced from photos:
1. The Queen - As mentioned recently, there's a still photo of the Queen
of England on the official Austin Powers site and a DIFFERENT photo of her
and Austin standing next to each other in the "How To Be An International
Man of Mystery" book. My guess is that this might've been from yet another
alternate ending, perhaps where Austin is presented with a medal from the
Queen for saving the world?
Scenes which may or may not exist:
1. There's a transcript in the "Man of Mystery" book of Dr. Evil's therapy
session which appears to follow directly after that seen in the movie.
Doesn't it seem like the scene ends terribly abruptly when Carrie Fisher
says, "We have to stop"? If anyone's particularly interested I can post up
this transcript, which is pretty frickin' funny BTW.
Scenes with abrupt editing which may have had bits cut out:
1. When Austin follows Number 2 into the casino bathroom, where does
Number 2 go (the evil henchman, not Austin's #2)?
2. After Austin enters the bathroom he begins powdering his hands.
Suddenly Tom Arnold walks in and the room is filled with dust. Did Austin
really have that much time to spread all that powder around?
3. This seems like this was done on purpose, but you never know... During
the scene where the General is telling his aide to "get my overnight bag,
feed my fish", etc., you can see a tiny cut in the film every time the
General gives an order. A friend of mine counted this once and I think
there were 12 total cuts.
And of course there's the infamous scene where Scott Evil and his friend
Sweet Jay go to their friendly neighborhood video arcade and get into a
fight due to the arcade owner's unfortunate use of Paris-talk... oh, I'm
just trying to get a rise out of you, for shits and giggles! Don't have a
thrombo!
Seriously, if anyone else can think of any possibilities I've missed,
don't hesitate to post 'em here!

>Scenes from foreign cuts of the film:
Well, technically, this isn't quite the right category for this,
as it should be scenes NOT in foreign cuts, but in the British
version Dr. Evil's whole little blackmail scheme with the royal
family was edited out since AP was released the week of Diana's
death. Don't want to offend those uptight Britons, you know.
>Scenes mentioned during the audio commentary on the laserdisc by Mike
>Myers and Jay Roach:
1) Wasn't the whole thing about the blue brains for dinner at Dr.
Evil's table mentioned? I think they were going to make a
bigger deal out of that than they did in the final cut.
2) I believe Mike mentioned that there were a bunch more of those
little Laugh-In-esque segments filmed, some of which had little
Batman-like quotes pasted on, like "Fab!" or "Groovy!"
3) They had originally made a bigger deal about the side-effects
of the unfreezing process, and consequently when it got cut, some
other scenes didn't make sense when they made reference to that
scene. Most notably, when Austin 'dares to break wind before'
Alotta, that was a direct consequence of him 'feeling extreme
relaxation', one of those kooky side-effects that got left on the
editing room floor.
>Scenes which can be deduced from photos:
There is this one photo I've seen of Austin making a little peace
sign with his fingers in a scene other than the bar at which he
was getting sloshed on Tab. I think it was on the Jumbo Jet, but
I'm not positive about that.
>Scenes which may or may not exist:
One of my favorite quotes that makes no frickin' sense is
"Alright baldy, shut your cake hole. On your bike." Maybe this
was just a dream, but isn't there an instant during that scene
that you can see a little bike in the background? There must
have been a cut scene associated with that quote, though far be
it for me to say Mike Myers wouldn't just throw in a wacky, random
quote here & there for shits & giggles!
>Scenes with abrupt editing which may have had bits cut out:
If memory serves me, Mike mentions that the "Remember when we
froze your semen?" scene didn't originally begin that way, but
they cut it, and it made it even better because that was just
such a wonderfully goofy & novel way to begin a sentence.
Well, that's all I could think up for now.
Anybody willing to put together a FAQ of all this stuff? The
list of possible contents seems to be growing be leaps & bounds every
day, much like Virtucon did between 1967 and 1997! ;>

Oh yeah, they mentioned a scene after Austin is unfrozen where Basil tells
him the side-effects of the unfreezing process including "flatulence at
times of extreme relaxation".

Yes it is in the Jumbo Jet, since he's wearing the pumpkin jacket which
Mike made a really big fuss about how much he hated on the audio
commentary. Also, I think you can see some people in the background which
would be the sexy stews.

I don't *think* there was supposed to be anything cut there, just that
they decided to split up the long Dr. Evil scene and really liked resuming
it with the semen line.

You talkin' to me? You must be talkin' to me, cause there ain't nobody
else here! I guess I'd be willing to do the Austin Powers section at
least. Anybody else care to volunteer for another section?
