EcoAmazon?? Is this the Annie Hall/Xena of Boston? How
are you?? Did you marry your Swedish Viking???
Camelot this is not. WizWorld is in a realm all its own.
No small miracle that it's still going, but miracles are
the natural state of wizardry.

Well.. You didn't sound blonde. ;-)

And if this posting's not proof enough, here's photographic
evidence that yet I live (or that I did, as of last week):

Before you ask, that is NOT my House of Eternal Repair. It
is actually one of the best-kept secrets of Beverly Hills, a
$1,300,000 Hansel & Gretel cottage just off-center in its
plush-posh neighborhood. Photo was taken by AFM-J alumnus
WALT SELLERS, who recognized me just as I was departing the
Apple QuickTime Expo at the Beverly Hilton.
To commemorate said synchronicity, we walked two blocks to
Carmelita & Walden, where Walt snapped pixilated proof of
the Witch's House, and of yours truly sharing the limelight
with a certain Disney sprite. Walt even accepted two of the
Chocolate Alien Valentine Cookies, and I believe he's posted
here since, so my latest recipe may just be both edible *and*
survivable. (Carpe Cocoa!)

Neat! If your hair changed naturally, that happens to most
blonds/blondes in their teens. In Scandinavia they call it
"afterdarkening". And in Sweden, the treatment is Clairol.
Photographs and movies notwithstanding, there are very few
natural blue-eyed blond(e)s in Scandinavia. And far fewer
everywhere else. It's still a fairly rare mutation.

He must be, dead guys can't walk so fast.

It was my lucky day. At first, I wasn't going to bring a camera.
Again I was lucky to turn in the correct direction just in time to see
the wizard magically appear, just feet away. Three times lucky,
because my hands were full , thus avoiding an awkward moment when my
southern born and trained reflexes would have forced me to extend a
handshake. (So if Mike gets sick anytime soon, it wasn't me!)
I felt lucky again when the Wizard froze traffic long enough for us to
safely cross streets in L.A. Otherwise, I might have been doing my
Chuck-Jones-flattened-character imitation. (Or may have obeyed my
self-preservation instinct and stayed off the street.)

Pixies pose so much better when their co-stars are magical. (Or
perhaps wear green and have an impish smile. Or full of wonderful
thoughts?) I'm just delighted that the camera functioned so well in
the presence of so much magic. It was well worth standing in the
middle of an LA street to get the shot.
I think this is my first post since the morning of the 14th, so you
only now have evidence of your cookies passing USDA inspection. And
may I say, they more than pass the taste test. Grade A+, certainly.
And to everyone else, have napkins handy before eating them. Carpe
Cocoa indeed! I had no problem staying frosty the whole 3-hour drive
home.

Knowing is overrated. NOT knowing you CAN'T often means you CAN.

Still floating, because apparently, pixie dust does not come off in
water and I haven't had to pay my wonderful thought tax yet.

I've just learned that Chuck Jones has passed away.
All is not well in Camelot.

Chuck is being eulogized in rec.arts.animation.
http://www.chuckjones.com/press_release/ has info, including where
to send donations in his name.
http://www.chuckjones.com/lettersfromtheheart was originally to
send letters to Chuck. Its still open, so it may be possible to send
letters to his family.

Not that it matters, since I'm a bloke, and I gather that Mike
doesn't swing that way either, but I've got a head of blond hair that
I've had since I was a child. It leans towards the reddish-blond
instead of the platinum variety. A few years ago, I decided to grow a
beard, and discovered to my delight that it was a full copper red.
(The Irish genes show up!) Of course, I discovered gray hair in it
this week (I'm only 25, for Christ's sake!), so it might be coming off
soon...
Note to Mike: Though there aren't many opportunities for filmmakers
up there, don't forget the northern midwest, like Minnesota and the
Dakotas! Lots of strong Norski bloodlines up there, and she'll already
speak English! I also seem to recall a Viking settlement in Sicily
that causes a few blonde haired/blue eyed vixens to pop up in the gene
pool once in a while. :)
Cheers,
Shi Bao Nai (not Chinese, obviously, just a nickname...)

DAMN, Mike looks ***fine***!!!
(Pardon, but the hormones (what's left of them, anyway) just all stood
up and rushed me; I had no defence.)
You look *fabulous*, Mr Jittlov; quite....healthy. Glad to, er, see
you're doing well.
