michael manure says the people who capture and behead US soldiers are
the equivalent of ameica's Minutemen who fought for freedom from
British rule.

michael manure says the people who blow up bombs and kill iraqi
policeman trying to create a better society are the equivalents of
America's Founding Fathers.

michael manure says the people who kidnap foreign workers who are
helping to rebuild iraqi society and behead them are the real Heroes
and need our support.

michael manure says the people whose attacks have taken 1000s of
innocent iraqi lives--many of them women and children--are freedom
loving patriots like nathan hale.

michael manure says these terrorists insurgents are like the american
revolutionaries and that american soldiers are imperialist thugs who
must be killed. manure only cares about US soldiers that return in
bodybags so that he can use them to undermine our resolve.

-----

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1125055/posts

i guess no one told michael that americans are the ones trying to
support the interim government dedicated to peace, freedom, and
prosperity against saddam loyalists and radical islamic extremists.
but then, manure, as we have seen, thinks bush is more evil than
hussein.

manure will say that americans are interfering in foreign affairs,
that it's none of our business. so what, i ask? wasn't the american
revolution won only due to the intervention of the french? weren't the
french foreigners who helped us to overthrow the yolk of british
colonialism? any problem with that?
didn't we end serbian genocide of albanians in kosovo thank to
intervention? but, of course, manure thinks that too was just a case
of US imperialism and that milosevic is the equivalent of washington,
franklin, and jefferson.

we americans are on the side of liberty in iraq. don't let moore and
his scum pals fool you otherwise. we are supporting the forces of
sanity, freedom, and modernity against the forces of terrorism,
extremism, and radicalism.
all good americans want the good people in iraq to win. moore and his
people want the bad people to win, and even think of them as the
counterparts of the Minutemen and other revolutionaries who fought to
free america from british imperialism.

which side are you on? bush and those in iraq(US soldiers and iraqi
citizens) fighting for freedom and modernity? or moore and those in
iraq fighting for husseinite rule or radical islamism? moore is not
only a leftist, he's a traitor.
he calls captured americans who are beheaded 'imperialists' and he
calls the terrorist beheaders 'freedom fighters' and 'minutemen'.
this guy is sick.
indeed, this is SICKER than hanoi jane fuc*ing the north vietnam
artillery used to shoot down US planes and slandering returning POWs
who spoke of being tortured as 'liars'.

the democrats ought to dump this lardpile whose remarks and views are
infinitely sicker than anything spouted by mccarthy. mccarthy may
have been a rightwing loon but he never called germans and japanese
killing american soldiers 'freedom fighters' or the equivalent of the
minutemen.

whatever doubts about the war kerry may have, i know kerry is a good
man and would do everything to see this conflict thru. and it's to
kerry's credit that he has kept moore at a distance. it's time
democrats did too. otherwise, it will be party that roots for
beheaders and terrorists who kill americans and innocent iraqis, a
party that equates the heroes of the american revolution with the scum
that want iraq to descend into radical warlordism, return to hussenite
rule, or turn into a crazed theocracy.
are you on the side of freedom and modernity or are you on the side of
beheaders who want to decapitate the new mind and face of a hopeful
iraq?

The "interim government" are mostly Saddam's old bully boys picking up where
Saddam left off. Allawi, a murderer and car bomber, is not interested in
democracy; he's primarily interested in being Bush's toady until he can
claim all power over Iraq for himself.

Not to mention the simple fact that the American occupation and the
sanctions have killed ten times more Iraqis than Saddam ever did!

Reminds me of when Reagan called the Contras the "moral equivalent of our

All this proves is that Moore is not right all the time, like most people.

There are 300,000 *missing*, most of whom are refugees and have secretly
fled to Europe, US, other parts of Asia and Africa.
Saddam was a vile asshole, that's for sure, but there simply are no
evidence of "hundreds of thousands murdered". These figures are made up to
justify deaths by sanctions and military attacks (all went wrong)
Also,
Irak has been in MAJOR wars for 25 years now remember. Those wars
killed a lot of people (one mill or so). Many of which ended up in
massgraves.

John Kerry’s stupid hypocrite wife says “SHOVE IT!” LIBERALS HATE
AMERICA!!

So Kerry married Theresa for the money she took from her ex-husband's
estate, and she married him for the power of being a Senator's wife?
Was John messing around with Theresa while he was still married to his
first wife?

Teresa's Ted K tirade
Boston Herald | Monday, July 26, 2004 | David R. Guarino

Posted on 07/26/2004 6:54:02 PM PDT by mykdsmom

Teresa Heinz Kerry, years before becoming a Democrat, railed against
the party's ``putrid'' politics, said she didn't trust Sen. Edward M.
Kennedy and angrily called the liberal lion a ``perfect bastard.'' In
comments published in a little-known 1975 book about political wives
called ``The Power Lovers: An Intimate Look at Politicians and Their
Marriages,'' Heinz Kerry lashed out at the senator she'll share the
primetime convention stage with tonight. ``I know some couples who
stay together only for politics,'' Heinz Kerry said at the time. ``If
Ted Kennedy holds on to that marriage (to ex-wife Joan) just for the
Catholic vote, as some people say he does, then I think he's a perfect
bastard.'' Heinz Kerry, then married to Republican Sen. H. John Heinz
III of Pennsylvania, said she ``didn't trust'' President Richard M.
Nixon but added, ``Ted Kennedy I don't trust either.'' The combustible
and ever-quotable Heinz Kerry said of Democrats, ``The
Democratic machine in this country is putrid.'' Excerpts of the
comments appeared in The Boston Herald American in January 1976.
Coming a day after Heinz Kerry was caught on camera telling a reporter
to
``shove it'' when the reporter questioned her on statements made in a
Boston speech, the remarks could undercut Democrats' ability to
showcase a positive message at the convention. Kennedy's office
dismissed the comments as water under the bridge and said the two get
along famously now _ regardless of what Heinz Kerry has said in the
past. ``Over the years, Sen. and Mrs. Kennedy and John Kerry [related,
bio] and Teresa Heinz Kerry have developed a deep friendship and
strong mutual respect,'' Kennedy spokesman David Smith said in a
statement to the Herald. ``A 30-year-old quote dug up by the
Republican attack machine made long before they became friends is
irrelevant.'' Heinz Kerry's spokeswoman also said the quotes' age
makes them irrelevant. ``You are talking about statements that are
more than 30 years old. A lot
has changed since then,'' said Marla Romash, a senior adviser to Heinz
Kerry. But it isn't the first time quotes have emerged in which Heinz
Kerry targets the legendary Bay State senator. In an interview with
The Washington Post in 1971, Heinz Kerry declared, ``Ted Kennedy I
don't trust, like I don't trust Nixon, although I think Nixon's done a
helluva lot better than I thought he would.'' Just last year, Heinz
Kerry said she regretted the comments she had made to the Post
regarding Kennedy. Romash noted the number of times Heinz Kerry has
campaigned with Kennedy and said Victoria Reggie Kennedy will host a
luncheon for Heinz Kerry this afternoon at the Museum of Fine Arts.
``There's a very good relationship now,'' Romash said. She said Heinz
Kerry stood by her comments about the Democratic machine, saying state
Democratic parties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the time were ``a
big problem,'' Romash said.
``I think there are a lot of people who would say there were problems
in state parties in Pennslyvania and New Jersey,'' Romash said.
``Those problems don't exist anymore.''

MRS KERRY MOVED TO SECURE LOCATION!! LIBERALS HATE AMERICA!!

Will Remain There Until November 3, Party Officials Confirm

The Democratic National Committee confirmed today that Teresa Heinz
Kerry, wife of presidential nominee John Kerry, has been moved to a
secure undisclosed location and will remain there until November 3,
the day after the fall election.

In a terse statement released to reporters at the party convention in
Boston, the DNC indicated that "Mrs. Kerry has agreed with party
officials that she could make her most valuable contributions to the
presidential campaign from a soundproof chamber buried miles beneath
the earth's crust."

The DNC would not elaborate on when and how the outspoken Mrs. Kerry
made her departure from Boston, but sources said yesterday that the
she was spirited away from her hotel under cover of darkness by what
are being described as "burly Democratic party goons."

"There was some sort of struggle, a whole lot of swearing, and then
nothing," said one witness. "I think chloroform and a tube sock may
have played a role."

Mrs. Kerry's departure from the campaign occurred just hours after she
took great pains to explain why she told a reporter on Monday to
"shove it."

"In my native Mozambique, 'shove it' is the same as 'shalom,'" she
said. "It means hello, goodbye and peace."

But when a reporter challenged this explanation, she snapped, "You can
take a 64-oz bottle of Heinz ketchup and shove it up your ass,
douchebag."

Regaining her composure, Mrs. Kerry said that in Mozambique, inviting
someone to shove a ketchup bottle up his or her ass was the same thing
as saying "Have a nice day."

It's verrrrrrrry unlikely that Moore actually
said that. I'd guess that he was referring to
the insurgents whom pro-Bush people happily
generalize as "terrorists". The people who
do the beheading are terrorists. Insurgents
are not necessarily terrorists. I never trust
right wingers when they attempt to quote people
they oppose; they generally quote out of context
or inaccurately or, as is the case with this
bozo, impose their own generalized thinking
on a subtler comment.

You're right vis a vis Reagan/Contra/"freedom
fighters". They were indiscriminate killers
and that was an outrageous statement.

Yeah, it didn't take a lot of searching to find
Moore's actual quote:

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not
'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION,
the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it,
Mr. Bush?" Quoted from Mr. Moore's own Web site, michaelmoore.com.
http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/message/index.php?messageDate=2004-04-14.

I can't agree with what Moore is saying here.
It's the polar opposite of the naive Bush view
that we're liberators. The truth is probably
somewhere in between: some people welcome us
because they hated Saddam so much while others
resent being invaded and occupied. I can't
say how the numbers break and I don't trust
what the media report.

But the fact remains that the lying right-winger
"Humprear Buggart" misquoted Moore completely.

Here's what "humprear" had to say:

"michael manure says the people who capture and behead US soldiers are

the equivalent of ameica's Minutemen who fought for freedom from
British rule."

That is clearly not what Moore said. If Humprear wanted
proof he would have to ask Moore if his "Iraqis who have
risen up against the occupation" included those who behead
US soldiers (BTW, have any US soldiers been beheaded? Neither
Berg nor Johnson were soldiers and Johnson was in Saudi
Arabia). I think it's safe to assume that Moore wasn't talking
about those terrorists. But, again, both sides are using
generalities to bolster their arguments. The murkiness
and instability of post-invasion Iraq is a strong enough
argument against ever having invaded in the first place.

MM is a shit head. You pay much moore attention to him than I do. Once
someone proves himself to me to be a useless pile of plop, I no longer
listen to what he says, unless there is an amusement factor somewhere.
Like my home state Senator, Teddy The Lush. Or most of the people in this
group!

A station from Boston broadcasts nationally (The Howie Carr Show). A
racist bigot if ever I heard one. Every once in a while he does a contest
called 'The Wizard of Uhhs' where he plays a clip of the illustrious
Senator making a speech or statement and youi have to call in with the
correct number of 'uhhhs' uttered by the Drunken One.

I'm surprised half the people in here aren't calling for him to run for
Prez.

And in four years, I'm getting another "Run, Hillary, Run" bumper sticker
for the *front* bumper of the car I have now!

Cause they can't!

Just like on Limbaugh's program, when he let's a Liberal have free reign,
they all run out of valid points in a very short time, and have to resort

*Just* because they don't agree with yours? Just what I expect from this
group, Michael Moore fans and Kerry supporters.

So tell me, why *should* Kerry have the White House. What's his platform?
What has he said different from Clinton? What will he *do*? What has he
done in the Congress other than get his Fire Hydrant moved? I live here. I
know what he *doesn't* do. I've seen his er, his *wife's* fleet of SUV's.
I've seen him *not* support the union workers he claims to love soooo much.
But he can sure flap his gums about fuel economy, global warming and

He is *no* better than Bush, and quite possibly a *lot* worse. Even Howard
Dean had more valid points in his short run than Kerry has had in *all*
this time! Couldn't they have picked someone with a record?

I'll tell you what: you get Josiah Bartlett to run, I'll vote for him in a
heartbeat! HAHAHA! The *best* President the Democrats can muster up is a
character on a TV Show!!!!! Find somebody like that, and I won't care
*how* friggin liberal he is; at least the character played by Martin Sheen
takes a stand and sticks to his guns!!! And does what he says.

What a sad state of affairs...

The imploding John Kerry

By Carol Devine-Molin

web posted August 23, 2004

Americans should be truly appalled by presidential candidate John
Kerry and his outrageous machinations during this campaign season.
It's clear that he has the temperament and proclivities of a little
dictator.

Kerry's campaign tactics are more than heavy-handed; they're downright
un-American. He wants those very effective Swift Boat Veterans for
Truth ads pulled from the airwaves forthwith. He's got a complaint
lodged with the FEC requesting just that. Moreover, Kerry wants the
Swiftees' book, "Unfit for Command," banned from store bookshelves.
This begs the question: To what lengths is Kerry willing to go to
eviscerate and stifle the protected speech of the Swiftees? Americans
are clearly paying attention to the situation, given that more than
half of all Americans have seen or are aware of the Swift Boat ads.
Americans should be the final arbiters of the words of the Swiftees.
They don't need John Kerry to run interference for them.

Sorry, Mr. Kerry, we do not live in a despotic regime, but a free and
open society that will not be bullied by the likes of you. In the
parlance popularized by your wife, you can just "shove it."

John Kerry is more than a terribly arrogant and churlish individual;
he's a dangerous man who is attempting to suppress the First Amendment
free speech rights of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Why is John
Kerry now apoplectic? The message of the Swiftees is not to his liking
and deleteriously impacting his presidential bid. In short, the words
of the Swift Boat Veterans are resonating among fellow veterans who
are rejecting Kerry's candidacy. Kerry's game plan is quickly falling
apart. In this era of the war on terror, Kerry had counted on veterans
groups as key supporters that would help him ride a wave to victory.
Instead, as illustrated in the latest Rasmussen Poll, President Bush
is leading Senator Kerry, 58 percent to 35 percent among veterans.

To say that Kerry is not taking this well is an understatement. In the
throes of a major conniption, the Democratic presidential candidate
is: a) demanding that President Bush "stand up and stop" the Swift
Boat personal attacks upon him, and, b) claiming that the Bush camp is
coordinating with the Swift Boat 527
group. It's vital to closely pay attention to the allegations of
Liberals --They have the habit of accusing others of precisely what
they themselves are guilty of, but are attempting to sweep under the
rug with alacrity.

The response from the Bush campaign, issued by Spokesman Steve
Schmidt, was marvelous, and hit all the right notes: "This is a
frivolous complaint that even John Kerry's chief strategist has said
they have no evidence to support. Real coordination is what John
Kerry's campaign has been engaged in with the Media
Fund, America Coming Together, and MoveOn.org. The revolving door of
personnel, coordinated strategies and overlapping fundraising between
the Democrat 527s and the Kerry campaign is a flagrant disregard of
the spirit and letter of the campaign finance reform law." Because the
Bush camp wishes to avoid even a hint of coordination with the Swift
Boat veterans, it recently canned a volunteer who had ties to the
Swiftees. At any rate, the Federal Election Commission will have the
opportunity to investigate Kerry's allegations and issue an outcome.
Americans should also understand that the Democrats have funneled
considerably more money into 527 groups than the Republicans, with the
three 527s cited by Steve Schmidt garnering about sixty-five million
in funding, to date.

Regarding this current imbroglio, the pertinent points are as follows:
First, the Swiftees are a 527 political committee, and candidates
can't exert influence on them, even if they wanted to. Second, in
general terms, Bush has criticized all 527 political committees
irrespective of their political leanings, and he wants to get rid of
all 527 ads. Unfortunately, these 527s are precisely what the
McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill has wrought. Thank you
John McCain. Third, many Americans are experiencing "Vietnam fatigue,"
and want more focus on Kerry's Senate record. However, Kerry is
clearly attempting to distract
from his anti-intelligence, anti-defense voting record that represents
a major albatross for him in this wartime milieu. Fourth, hypocrisy,
thy name is John Kerry. Did Kerry condemn Michael Moore's Fahrenheit
9/11 film that was rife with inaccuracies and distortions, or the
various Leftist groups that
have impugned President Bush in the worst possible ways, some even
calling him Hitler? No, of course not.

Kerry et al. are unmitigated phonies, claiming that they're running a
"positive" campaign, when, in fact, they're having their Bush- bashing
surrogates trash President Bush at every turn. Kerry even has the
elite media spinning on his behalf, denigrating President Bush and all
that dare to challenge him. Fifth, Kerry
needs to help clarify his disputed war record by releasing his full
military and medical records (and just on principle, his dental
records) for the sake of transparency and a show of willingness to
answer reasonable questions. To date, Kerry has primarily responded to
opponents with counterattacks, which really fail to
qualify as effective rebuttal. Sure, we're hearing various versions of
war stories from Kerry-minions, but these only manage to further
muddy-up the waters. It seems that Kerry's Cambodian escapade - his
big adventure -- is now a work-in-progress that continues to morph.

A good case in point is John Kerry's fantastic claim of having spent
Christmas in Cambodia in 1968, during the Nixon administration (Hello?
LBJ was still in office at the time). Of course, Kerry's story is pure
gobbledygook, and even more amazingly, he repeated it on number of
occasions, including the floor of the Senate! According to John
O'Neill and Jerome Corsi, authors of the new book Unfit for Command,
"Kerry was never ordered into Cambodia by anyone and would have been
court-marshaled had he gone there. During Christmas 1968, Kerry was
stationed at Coastal Division 13 in Cat Lo. Coastal Division 13's
patrol areas extended to Sa Dec, about fifty-five miles from the
Cambodian border." One of the crewmen, Steve
Gardner, explicitly stated during a television interview last week
that he was always on the boat, and it never went into Cambodia.

Understandably, Kerry's most fervent supporters are members of his
current team who are accepting his word at face value. In one of his
recent articles, Hal Lindsey proffers this tidbit from Michael Meehan,
a senior member of Kerry's campaign: "Many times he (Kerry) was on or
near the Cambodian border and on
one occasion crossed into Cambodia at the request of members of a
special operations group operating out of Ha Tien." However, Lindsey
indicates that Rear Admiral Roy Hoffman, commander of the swift boats,
disputes Kerry's claim of having gone into Cambodia to transport CIA
operatives or Special Forces. Hoffman stated: "I was always properly
informed. The whole time I was there, I don't recall [such a
mission]." Lindsey rightly underscores that "the two accounts are
irreconcilable. Only one can be true, since Kerry says he was in
Cambodia, even involved in CIA special missions, and all the available
evidence, including the recollections of even Kerry-friendly swift
boat veterans, say he was not."

Well, what gives? Kerry's official biographer Doug Brinkley attempts
to come to Kerry's rescue, telling the London's Daily Telegraph a few
weeks back: "Kerry went into Cambodian waters three or four times in
January and February 1969 on clandestine missions. He had a run
dropping off US Navy Seals, Green Berets and CIA guys…He was a ferry
master, a drop-off guy, but it was dangerous as hell. Kerry carries a
hat he was given by one CIA operative." Mr.Brinkley should give it up
already; he's "jumping the shark" (saying something that's
outrageously unbelievable, a real crock by any standard). In the
absence of evidence, it truly appears that both Meehan and Brinkley
are providing John Kerry with cover on his propensity to wield
tall-tales. Again, if John Kerry wants this nation to believe him - or
better yet, the Independent voters that are still up for grabs -- he
had better release all of his records, and even do a search of other
available records that might vindicate his version of events.

Many who have served in the Armed Forces are never going to forgive
John Kerry for his anti-war activities that they consider treasonous
and unbefitting of any future Commander-in-Chief. Kerry better be
prepared to write-off a good deal of the veterans' vote. Importantly,
since Kerry was 27 years of age at
the time, and had already served in the Navy, veterans are not likely
to attribute his awful behaviors to poor judgment or the passion of
youth. The second Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ad is really
resonating with veterans, tapping into those strong feelings from over
thirty years ago. Veterans are reportedly sickened as they watch Kerry
provide the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with slanderous
testimony about our troops in Vietnam, accusing them of committing
systemic war crimes (raping, randomly shooting at civilians, blowing
up bodies, razing villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan,
cutting off heads, ears, limbs, etc.).

Lies, of course, but lies that had terrible repercussions. Veterans
believe that Kerry gave aid and comfort to the enemy by acting as a
propagandist on behalf of the North Vietnamese, which made things much
worse for American soldiers being held as POWs. As one soldier in the
ad said, "John Kerry gave the enemy for free what I, and many of my
comrades in North Vietnam prison camps, took torture to avoid saying.
It
demoralized us." And it's not going to sit well with the majority of
veterans when it becomes widely known that John Kerry secretly met
with the communist delegation at the Paris Peace Conference during the
Vietnam War, which may have very well violated the Uniform Code of
Military Justice and other federal
statutes. One more thing: Kerry is honored in the "War Remnants
Museum" in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, for his "heroic" contributions
to the North Vietnamese victory," as noted in the book "Unfit for
Command." I have to believe that many Americans, not just veterans,
are going to be swayed by these
revelations.

Blatherers attacking Kerry's wife? Can't they find any REAL issues? All this
ad-hominemo understands is how to attack personalities. Issues? (Cheney
Rule:) The real issues can go fuck themselves!

There is a joke at the end--the Bushevik realizes he has to claim he is not
"ignorant" after another amazing demonstration of his ignorance.

You have more gumption than I did. I didn't even read his incessant
babbling. (I had a good Idea what it was going to say, anyway. I wasn't
very far off.)

Yes, every Democrat who's ever been in office has solved all those
problems while they were in office, only to have them reappear when a
Republican got elected. And Clinton did such a *marveolus* job, I lost the
highest paying job I ever had 3 years after he took office!

(BTW, for you economics majors out there, a President's policies begin
taking effect on any economy 6 months to a year after he implements them.
So I suppose it was King George I's fault as to why I lost that job,
right? BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Wrong!!)

Correct, that's why moveon.org has been methodically practicing character
assassination for the past year versus one month for the swift boat people.
That's why Kerry is trying to get the publishers of "Unfit for Command" to
stop publication. That's why Kerry is trying to get the book stores to stop
carrying the book. Sounds like they're trying to suppress free speech.
Sound familiar? It should. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3016567.stm

Naw, that Bushevik troll is always like that. With Dubya as his candidate,
can you blame him for being desperate? If you want to have some real
discussions around here, you need to be more strategic. For example, you
should not feed the trolls, and you should cut cross-post links to troll
homes like alt.fan.rush-limbaugh. Did you even notice you were cross-posted
there?

Anyway, don't look at me. While I'd like to engage in some sincere
democratic discussion of the real issues of this election, for now it's easy
to work on my DT (Doctor of Trollology) degree. The trolls seem to be
offended, which suggests I might be doing something right. I'm obviously not
averse to being judged by my enemies.

Phil. I don't know if it's ignoring the truth, because his truth (what he
wants to belive) is different from mine.

But all he can do is call me names and ignore the *topic*. He's got to be
a lawyer! And an ACLU lawyer at that. He gets on his bicycle and skirts
the issue, making it sound like it's not the issue at all.

HAHAHA Kerry, 'terrific'! You spelled it wrong. It's:

T-E-R-R-I-F-Y-I-N-G

spell checkers (like the one Shannon is so fond of) don't pick up errors
like that.

And you weren't living in Massachusetts when he was Lt. Gov, were you? I
can tell.

What offends *me* is that you're so frigging *inane*.

You can't debate.

You're weak.

You're worthless.

You add nothing.

That's what's offending. Not what you say; the fact you're ignorant.

I thought if I came in here there might be a chance for a worthwhile
debate. Every time a bebate even starts, the thread gets dropped. :ack of
subject matter.

No, I'm not the brightest bulb in the box. But every time I present a
fact, a link, anything to back my point...end of discussion. And the
*more* factual the proof, the *faster* the thread gets dropped.

I may not be intelligent when it comes to discussing politics; most of you
are *useless* when it comes to issues.

They *can* dazzle me with brilliance (or at least, a lot of them)

Because of his inability to maintain the original topic.

And which one of them is a fact and makes sense? Just the same old crap.
Heard it all before, no need to dignify with an anwer, and nowhere near
the topic of the original post. Couldn't dazzle me with brilliance, so

Generally, not. Only resort to this when the person is a total *waste*,
not because I can't refute his issues. Matter of fact, if you look through
my posts, in issues where I have been bested, I congratulate the person
for an excellent debate, not call him a dipshit. Or ignorant. Or stupid.
Or an imBushile. Just a Moore-on when they revert to banality. Or can't
(or won't) stay on topic. Or resort to name calling.

No, I beleive it was somethingto do with Micheal Moore calling the
terrorist beheaders "Freedom Fighters". Freedom from what? Freedom for
what?

To them we are infidels, plain and simple. If you extended them an olive
branch, they would take it from you, rape you and tortue you because you
are an 'infidel'. I know these people. They don't get the warm fuzzies.
They are of the same mentality as those who blow up a store full of
Israeli children (Granted, Israel was PALESTINE for oh, only 2000 years or
more)

To call them 'Freedom Fighters' is like calling Hitler the liberator of
Europe. Or Saddam the leader of the free Middle East.

Funny how the lottery seems to work the other way around.

But the fact is that going after a man's wife in this obviously phony manner
only proves that there are no real issues with which to fault Kerry.

You mean the fact that liberals are screaming that Bush is letting companies
hire off shore employees yet the wife of the very same person who said he
will bring those jobs back to America has the vast majority of her employees
off shore is irrelevant? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

While true she is not on the board of directors, she owns $4 Million dollars
worth of shares in Heinz and is the heir to the Heinz fortune. As a
stockholder, she has plenty of influence over the operations of Heinz. Note
that her late husband was not on the board of directors either but he still
made a ton of money from Heinz.

He's getting better. Personally, I would have used "urinate" instead of
"piss" but that's just me.

Oh since he started foaming at the mouth because I posted to a Democratic
newsgroup. Since he used the quote:

"I would not want to be a member of a party (referring to Republicans) that
openly accepts racists, bigots and homophobes.."
-Ronald Reagan Jr.

And finally, since he said: "YOU HATE AMERICA AND SO DO ALL REPUBLICANS,

UNLESS THEY CAN MAKE A DOLLAR OF THE BACKS OF POOR AMERICANS!"

Seems pretty anti-conservative to me. But maybe I'm reading too much into
his posts...

Ok, time for a reality check.
Internet troll
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
On the Internet, troll is a slang term used to describe:

1.. A post (on a newsgroup, or other forum) that is solely intended to
incite controversy, conflict, annoyance, or offense.
2.. A person who posts such messages.
Posts, and their authors, which inadvertently cause strife as collateral
damage are not trolls.

The term has negative connotations, and is often applied as an insult, while
simultaneously being claimed as a 'badge of honour' by troll organizations
or individuals. The sincere but controversial or naive poster may sometimes
be miss-labeled a troll, but the term is generally considered to be
correctly applied only to one intending to provoke outrage or discord.

The troll's reaction, once identified as a troll, can vary widely depending
upon the forum in which the exchange takes place. Any person unjustly
accused of being a troll may be hurt and will express indignation. The troll
will sometimes react with verbal abuse, raising the stakes with inflammatory
remarks maligning the motivation of the accuser. If a person pursues his/her
perceived enemy from site to site, one is most certainly a troll.

Trolling is often described as an online version of the breaching
experiment, where social boundaries and rules of etiquette are broken. The
self-proclaimed troll will often style itself as a Devil's Advocate or
gadflies, challenging the dominant discourse and assumptions of the forum it
is "trolling", in an attempt to subvert and introduce different ways of
thinking. Detractors who value etiquette claim the true "Devil's Advocate"
generally identifies themselves as such for the sake of etiquette, whereas
the troll often considers etiquette to be something itself worthy of
trolling.

The troll is sometimes caricatured as socially inept. This is often due to
fundamental attribution error, as it is difficult to know the real traits of
an individual solely from their online discourse. Indeed, since the
intentional troll is alleged to knowingly flout social boundaries, it is
difficult to typecast the troll as socially inept; trolls arguably prove
adept at achieving the goal of inciting conflict.

To sum the article up, EVERY post by our dear friend Shannon is clearly
Trollish. People in glass houses really shouldn't throw stones. All one has
to do is read any of his posts and definition #1 always applies.

I can. I've lived under Kerry when he was Lt. Governor and as my senator.
Why do you think he's focusing on his four months in Vietnam instead of his
20 years in office? He doesn't want you to know the real Kerry, that's why.

He is? His record is an open book & is easily obtainable

> He doesn't want you to know the real Kerry, that's why.

Now, if his record is so bad, why is Bush focusing solely on telling
terrible lies about Kerryu's service in Vietnam?
If I were Bush, Vietnam service is the last thing Ito which I'd want to draw
attention.
