In a quintessential college town in the heart of the Midwest, our picturesque location provides small-town charm and safety. Under the law, it is unlawful to create a noise disturbance anywhere during quiet hours, including multi-family buildings and townhouses. The nuisance provision prohibits some noise disturbances anywhere at any time.

Please refer to your lease or the covenants for your condominium or cooperative housing association to understand the conditions related to the entitlement of peace and quiet enjoyment of your living space. Failure of the building manager or property management company to provide a living space without recurring sound-related disruptions may constitute a breach of the lease or association covenants.

Commercial parking lot cleaning activities employ vacuum trucks and leaf blowers to collect and remove debris. Owners and property managers of commercial buildings and retail establishments generally prefer lot cleaning activities be performed after their business hours. This often times means that lot cleaning activities are occurring after 9 p.m. during quiet hours, and sometimes within close proximity to residences.

Construction and development projects are by their nature not quiet. However, with careful planning and operation, it's possible to minimize potential noise disturbances from construction activities. Construction workers, contractors and engineers, should be aware of how activities are regulated under the Montgomery County Noise Control Law.

The hostel was really nice. Individual toilets in the rooms with a basin and then shared showers. Very clean, decent wifi, good breakfast spread and friendly, helpful staff. Great location to the subway and the rest of NYC. The rooms are a good size considering how close to the city we were. Air conditioning in the rooms was excellent.

The Leo House is a nonprofit Catholic guesthouse which means we welcome visitors just like a hostel or hotel. We are dedicated to offering visitors affordable and temporary accommodations. For a little history on our establishment, it was originally established and based in the Battery Park area of New York in 1889 by papal certification by Pope Leo XIII. In 1926,The Leo House moved to 23rd Street in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, one of the liveliest and safest neighborhoods in New York City.

The urban neighborhood of Astoria is one of the best neighborhoods in NYC for young Manhattan professionals who need an affordable place to live, within a 20-minute subway ride of the city. Your best bet for housing in this area is an apartment, condo, or co-op. Rental fees range from $1,000 to $2,000 per month, while co-ops and condos sell for $300K to $500K. With limited parking, having a vehicle here is usually more of a hassle than a convenience, so you may want to look at car storage options.

When Ian Reitmaier enrolled in a programming class his senior year of high school he had little idea that class would spark a passion that would guide his college decision and career choice. While at Lipscomb, Reitmaier had the opportunity to create an application for Nissan USA in one of his classes. In 2022, Reitmaier graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering, valuable real-world experience and a job as an application developer.

The National Radio Quiet Zone (NRQZ) is a large area of land in the United States designated as a radio quiet zone, in which radio transmissions are restricted by law to facilitate scientific research and the gathering of military intelligence. About half of the zone is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of west-central Virginia while the other half is in the Allegheny Mountains of east-central West Virginia; a small part of the zone is in the southernmost tip of the Maryland panhandle.

Often known simply as Sarlat, this town with a population of about 11,000 is in the center of the Dordogne region of southern France. Sarlat offers big-city convenience and activities, packaged in a small-town setting, that makes it a delightful location to visit and a wonderful place to call home. Narrow streets occasionally interrupted by quiet squares meander through the historical center, bringing to mind the romantic images of small-town France. Caves with pre-historic paintings, castles guarding nearly every hilltop, and rivers quietly winding through forested valleys, draw visitors to the area.

While prices have increased in recent years and cheap restorable structures are harder to come by, village homes can be found in the $200,000 to $350,000 range, while renting a two-bedroom apartment is likely to cost you $565 a month. Sarlat is far enough from large cities to provide a quiet, small-town life, but it is also situated within easy reach of the major cities of southwest France. Bordeaux and Toulouse are each about two hours away by car.

The city is known for its interest in sports and boasts the first 18-hole golf course created in Europe, which you can still play today. It has a Victorian-style clubhouse with a distinctly British atmosphere. It would not be France without a local wine, and Pau is famous for Jurançon, which is produced in only 25 towns and villages. The moelleux (sweet) white wine is the most famous, however they also produce a dry one. But when it comes to essential facilities, Pau has an excellent hospital and other health centers, an airport with connecting flights around the world, and the TGV (Train Grand Vitesse) trains that run to places like Paris, Bordeaux, and Toulouse.

Add to that the noise of all the unmuffled racing cars that seem to not be noticed by Eugene police; we allow them to feel free to intimidate our citizens, plus the airplanes whose flight patterns go right over our city. None of these things seem to matter to the city government. We deserve clean air, and peace and quiet. Things are building up more and more. We tolerate and/or go crazy. Our children will not have a memory of what a peaceful city feels like. This is all they know.

My favorite part of working with the GA Tech hotel, apart from your staff, is the flexibility you offer to your clients:

- Last minute requests are implemented quickly
- There is no bureaucracy or red tape. I feel like your entire staff is easily accessible in the planning process.
- Small requests do not amount to a "surprise invoice" At the end of the event. I can tell you how refreshing this is.

Hats off the chef. This is the only conference we run in the entire world where I don't get one complaint about the food. Rather our attendees rave about it. In an industry where you can't please everyone, your chef has managed to do so.
