NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 1998--

Singer's My Secret Passion -- The Arias Is No. 1 U.S. Classical

Album For Six Weeks

New Single, "Safe Place From The Storm," Is No. 1 Most Added Record

On Adult Contemporary Radio For Three Weeks

Columbia Records superstar Michael Bolton is going on the road this summer
with special guest country-western star Wynonna for a series of concert
dates beginning in Biloxi, Mississippi, on May 16 (see itinerary following).
The Michael Bolton/Wynonna 1998 "The Voices Tour" will be the multi-Grammy
Award-winning star's first since his monumental worldwide "Greatest Hits"
shows in 1996. Bolton is currently riding high on the success of two albums:
his RIAA-certified gold pop record All That Matters and his Sony Classical
release My Secret Passion, which was the No. 1 classical album in America
for six straight weeks on the Billboard Traditional Classical chart.

All That Matters includes the Academy Award nominee for Best Song "Go The
Distance" (written by Alan Menken and David Zippel for the animated Disney
film Hercules) and the hit "The Best Of Love," a contemporary R&B smash
cowritten by Bolton and Babyface. "Safe Place From The Storm," the new
single from All That Matters, has been, according to R&R, the No. 1 Most
Added record on Adult Contemporary Radio for three weeks in a row and is
climbing the R&R Adult Contemporary chart; the single was also a "Hot Shot
Debut" in last week's Billboard and is currently bulleting up the Billboard
Adult Contemporary chart.

My Secret Passion contains tenor arias from Italian and French opera and is
the singer's first full-length classical album. Bolton has sung opera in
concert with Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo and on "The Tonight
Show," "David Letterman," the American Music Awards, and other national
broadcasts. He has performed arias at the San Remo Festival and has been inv
ited to sing in Catania, Sicily, this coming May. On My Secret Passion, he
performs with the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Steven Mercurio, and
sings a duet with soprano Renee Fleming.

On March 17, 1998, Michael Bolton starred on a special edition of the Emmy
Award winning A&E cable program "Live By Request." Bolton's guests included
Wynonna, Barry Bonds, and Rodney Dangerfield.

Bolton first brought together his love of soul, pop, classical, and country
music on This Is The Time -- The Christmas Album, released in 1996. That
album featured Bolton's duets with Placido Domingo on "Ave Maria" and with
Wynonna on "This Is The Time."

Over the course of his extraordinary career, Michael Bolton has sold more
than 40 million records worldwide and has won countless awards -- including
two Grammys and six American Music Awards -- for his singing and
songwriting. Although he's performed before Presidents and royalty and
millions of fans across the globe, he is proudest of his efforts on behalf
of women and children at risk; for his tireless humanitarian efforts, Bolton
has been acknowledged with the Lewis Hine Award and the Martin Luther King
C.O.R.E Award, among many others.

In the fall of 1997, Bolton released his first children's book, The Secret
Of The Lost Kingdom, published by Hyperion/Disney Press.
