I hate to say it, but YOU are the moron in this one! Why could I possibly
say this?
Glad you asked... (Please read all before you explode)!
First of all, we DO care about what happens in Iraq. Taking out Saddam was
a smart
thing to do because...
1- He WAS a mass murderer. There were many mass graves found. His party
members
had torture chambers and rape rooms where 10s of thousands were
abused or killed,
or both.
2- He HAD weapons of mass destruction. (Case in point: The Kurds...5000
in one shot)
3- He paid out rewards of up to $25,000 to the families of suicide
bombers.
4- The terrorist leaders from the terrorist training camps in Afghanistan
fled to Iraq after
they and the Taliban were driven out of that infested region.
5- In an email home to his family, a medic from the Iowa Army National
Guard told about
the Iraq the media never told about. Here are just some of the high
lights:
* Over 400,000 kids have up-to-date immunizations.
* School attendance is up 80% from levels before the war.
* Over 1,500 schools have been renovated
* Even more have been rid of the weapons stored there so education
can occur.
* The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so grain can be off-loaded
from ships faster.
* The country had its first 2 billion barrel export of oil in
August.
* Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water for the first
time ever in Iraq.
* The country now receives 2 times the electrical power it did
before the war.
* 100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed, compared to 35%
before the war.
* Elections are taking place in every major city, and city councils
are in place.
* Sewer and water lines are installed in every major city.
* Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
* Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are securing the country.
* Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the streets side by
side with US soldiers.
* Over 400,000 people have telephones for the first time ever.
* Students are taught field sanitation, e.g. hand washing to prevent
the spread of germs.
* An interim constitution has been signed.
* Girls are allowed to attend school.
* Textbooks that don't mention Saddam are in the schools for the
first time in 30 years.
* Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us
there.
6- The UN had told Saddam for TWELVE years that he needed to comply with
resolution
number 1441 (I think that was the number). He lied, he deceived, he
misdirected, he lied some
more to the inspection team. Every single time they wanted to see a
particular site, he stalled,
he made up excuses why they couldn't go there, then when they finally
gave in, they obviously
didn't find any signs of WMD, but they could tell that something was
cleaned out. Almost
every time!
7- The History Channel had a series on about Iraq. One of the episodes
was called "Saddam's
Arsenal." ANYONE who seen this program, even morons such as
yourself, what KNOW
that going into Iraq was the right thing to do. Everytime President
Bush tried to get the UN
to back up what their own resolution stated (which, by the way, DID
include the use of force)
the French, the Germans, and the Russians tried everything they could
to stop it. We now
know it was because they themselves were violating the UN sanctions
that THEY voted to
put in place.
When did the threat to the US start?
Many will say the September 11th, 2001. The answer as far as the United
States
is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to 9/11.
The following is a list of attacks on us...
Iranian Embassy Hostages, 1979;
Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983;
Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983;
Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;
Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998;
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
Aden, Yemen USS Cole 2000;
New York World Trade Center 2001;
Pentagon 2001.
Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist
attacks worldwide.
Then there are the domestic issues, such as the economy (which was not
ruined by
Bush's policies, but the stock market was already dying 6 months before he
even got to the
White House-then the 9/11 attacked. That is what killed it), abortion, gun
control (which
Senator Kerry claimed Bush fell down on, but he himself should have
introduced a bill for
Congress. Bush said he would sign one if one was sent to him.), etc, etc,
etc. I don't
expect you to understand these things, so I won't go on.
Soooooo, if you hope that another terrorist attack is deserving, just
remember that the whole
world is a stage for the terrorists. We are ALL in danger... (unless YOU
are one of the
terrorists) ...and I certainly hope that scum like you will be standing
right in the middle
of the next terrorist attack! Whether you like it or not, we will root out
any terrorists we
can find... with or without your help. Besides, most Americans would rather
isolate
themselves from the rest of the world. All this "Globalization" is not what
we want, it's
what the huge international corporations want so that they can make shit for
a fraction
of what it costs in the US... not just in terms of peanuts for wages, but NO
safety
concerns, NO enviromental rules, just no concern whatsoever for anything
except PROFIT.
This is not what Americans want. So, if we could isolate ourselves from the
rest of the
world's diminutive opinion about us, we would welcome it!
Later!
