Conflicting pre-crash

There was that other pre-crash image from DYRL that somebody posted a link
to...could somebody remind me of where that came from? But it conflicts with
the pre-crash image found here:

The older one IMHO looked better and had two nacelles/legs whatever on the
sides of the cruiser etc. The other one looks like the conventional SDF-1
but more alien and IMHO not a pretty.

I think that was the T.V. pre-crash art and the other is the Movie version. I
used to have the T.V. art book and I belive that that is a picture from it.

Actually, the difference is the image in the Gold Book is that of a
Meltohlauedy Army Gunboat, the other is of a Supervision Army Gunboat
(ASS-1).

It was from one of the DYRL artbooks, stating something to the effect of the
Macross being an old Meltrandi gunboat in the DYRL continuity, which is why I
asked if anyone could translate it.

LOL everytime I see the ASS-1 designation tossed about, I have to giggle. I
always think of South Park....Rear (snicker) Admiral Cartman commands his fleet
from the ASS-1.
