I cannot be the only one who noticed this? It loads slower IMHO ....And
it is harder to navigate (with internet explorer).

Yep. The new interface is clunky, at best. The server is very slow.
They're putting their fastest servers on the paying products, and Google
Groups probably gets the leftovers.
But I'm glad it's there. Google is providing a service that nobody else can
or will attempt. Archiving Usenet is a victory for free expression.
