**BS all ya want, Barry. It was very, very transparent, and only your
hardcore followers are going to accept any ""explanation.""
Watch the whole clip. Not just the edited version of it that you saw
on Fox "news" or on Drudge.
And also remember, John McCain used the same expression while talking
about one of hillary clinton's plans a while back.

context, skippy. context. but, like I said, I already know the hardcore
Joebama-ers will accept anything.
when you have pigs' ears, you shouldn't make pig jokes.
Exactly. John McCain used "lipstick on a pig" last October referring
to Hillary's health care plan. Maybe the phrase was still fresh in his
mind since Barack Obama was quoted using it in September referring to
an oil deal in Iraq. There's even a book by Torie Clark titled
"Lipstick on a Pig: Winning in the No-Spin Era by Someone Who Knows
the Game." "Lipstick on a pig" is an old American expression that was
very familiar to both Obama and McCain long before Sarah Palin used
the word "lipstick" in an entirely different context -- as a punchline
to a joke.

Who or what is "ti"?
From CBS.com:
<Here are some other "lipstick on a pig" references for you to
consider:
"I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." –
John McCain, in reference to Hillary Clinton's health care plan, last
year.
"George Bush has given a mission to General Petraeus, and he has done
his best to try to figure out how to put lipstick on a pig." – Barack
Obama, last year.
"Or as we say out in our home state of Wyoming, you can put all the
lipstick you want on a pig, but it's still a pig." – Dick Cheney,
2004.
"It's all about withdrawal or not withdrawal, okay? I mean that's what
it's all about. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."
– John McCain, last year.
"You can put lipstick and earrings on a hog and call it Monique, but
it's still a pig." – Texas Gov. Ann Richards.
"John Kerry tries to put a bunch of fancy, fancy talk...but there is
nothing you can do to really -- to really obscure that record. You can
try, though. And in Wyoming, we've got a saying for what it is when
you keep trying to make something that's not so good look good, we
call it putting lipstick on a pig." – Lynne Cheney, 2004.
"It gets down to whether you support what's being done in this new
strategy or you don't. You can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig
in my view." – John McCain, last year.
The Obama campaign also emailed to reporters quotes from more than 10
Republican officials who have used the phrase, among them House
Minority Leader John Boehner and Former Republican Senator Rick
Santorum.>
Maybe...so what the hell are YOU talking about?

Bill, you'll have to forgive my slowness, but I just got your
schtick. It's obvious that you don't believe most of what you post
here -- unless you truly are the drooling moron that you play online,
and given your canniness, I truly doubt that. No, your strategy for
provoking and posting nonsense to bait people is an interesting one,
but ultimately fruitless. The people here are no more likely to
change their minds than you are, but I applaud you for your attempts
to piss people off. Why you want to do it, I have no idea, but, as I
say, it's interesting.

Who the hell is saying what???
This post is a MESS, Bill.
YOU'RE a mess....!
Now go ahead and blame it on Google.

"Bill's posts are like a Jackson Pollock painting;
as if a child threw paint haphazardly at the canvas,
then expected everyone else to do all the work
of finding the 'genius within the mess.'"

"BEFORE" being the keyword. C'mon, you do know better. Obama is proving
himself to be an even dumber ass than I thought. No, the hardcore fans
aren't going to be swayed, but this is a close election, and recnet polls
show him losing ground. One wonders why, with all the questions about his
radical associations, he'd even choose to use the word "pig" at all. A
community organizers knows very well all its implications.

Because he's getting campaign advice from Alec Baldwin.
truth be told, I get tired of seeing poeple like Brady with free rein here,
never being called on any of the BS.
Be that as it may, you Joebama supporters should be more concerned than
anyone. This is a close race, and polls show him losing ground. This kind of
nonsense, then the adolescent "I didn't do nothin'" isn't going to get him
any of the undecided votes. Look at the reality, kids; it's going to piss
off a lot more people than it endears to him. And, really, look at the
original comment in context, and tell me that crowd didn't "get it."
>
You've done nothing but prove what a colossal jerk you are. First,
what does Joebama refer to in your crazed right-wing Republican smear
campaign? Does Joe Biden's first name and Obama's last name constitute
some kind of slur in your mind? Or are you just taking your cues from
Rush Limbaugh and FOX news? Please inform me how (in your own
supersecret Republican language?) this denigrates Barrack Obama and
the people who intend to vote for him? It was clearly your intent, as
was your own despicable attack on Obama's appearance. Now, why don't
you just post a photo of yourself somewhere so we can all judge *your*
appearance? You must be one perfect specimen of a human being for you
to criticize the appearance of others, right?
And yet, strangely enough, I didn't call you a moron, so I have to
assume you're being deliberately provocative. People who disagree with
me aren't (necessarily) drolling morons, but somone who posts no
substantive arguments and gives us third grade witticisms ("Joebama,"
"Barry," "SeeBS") with no irony intended is
Admit it, Bill; you are just one clever SOB and are trying to rile
things up. Congrats.
--Dave Sikula
Total ASSumption on your part. I'm not even going to dignify your uppityness
with a response.
--Dave Sikula
Again you assume. It just irks me to see that people believe that folks like
the Cintons actually did something for them. Yeah. That democratic congress
has really come through for you, haven't they???
Irks me, too, to see so much political BS spread around in this group
uncontested. Hell, even the Dylan group has more than one point of view.
Bill, Dake never called you a moron. The only thing he assumed was that
you are a clever SOB.
Rod
Who do we give credit for calling BK a moron?

What a Wonderful Web We Weave
He implied it in the previous message. Neither here nor there. I never said
I was offended by him calling me a moron. I don't really even get why he
responds. Does he think I go to bed at night and lie awake, thinking
'waaahh! The Dake doesn't like my jokes!"? Yeah... that'll happen.
>
> Rod
He did not imply it, so I agree it was neither here nor there. He was
communicating with you in a respectful manner.
yikes!! you have an odd concept of respectful.
bite me, you cretin.
Ok, I'm European, and yes, I'm damn well going to be condescending
here. Are you for f**kin real? Lipstick and pigs??????? This is what
is dominating the election news cycle this week? And this is what you
are talking about here?
As an outside observer, all this fake outrage and non-issue nonsense
always seems to be started by the Republicans. Just as this tread was
started as an attack on Obama.
America is fighting two wars, the economy is going down the tubes and
your government has just got into the mortgage business! Just look at
the first post again. Is this really an issue for you Bill?
