As for me, the number one song on the charts the week I was born was
"You keep me hanging on" by the Supremes! Man, I feel old :(

Hmmm....what does that say about me?

I am *so* sorry, Markie.
Here, have a beer.
"Kiss You All Over" was the big hit from Exile's first (and only) rock
album, Mixed Emotions (which has never been released on CD :(.
Unfortunately they went country in the early 80s and have had a lot of
success with that. That's rock's loss, I guess. I've seen them at least
once in concert and had to suffer through an hour of country in order to
hear "Kiss You All Over". The group was formed pretty near here, in
Lexington, KY.

Goodness gracious me.
You are just a wealth of 80's music info, aren't you?
> One Bad Apple by The Osmonds.
lolololol
Actually that song was from 1978 or 1979. ;-) The only reason why I know so
much is that Mom's a big fan of theirs and I was trying to find a CD with
songs from that album. One of their greatest hits CDs has 4 or 5 of them.

Dude, don't you think you're getting a little personal here? ;o)
Crissy =)
You'd know it when you hear it. You were born in '84? I was about your
age when "Jump" hit #1. This was Van Halen during their David Lee Roth
period. I remember all the hardcore Van Halen fans were angry when
"Jump" came out and they felt the band had 'sold out' by giving in to
pop mainstream by using synthesizers in their music. I just thought it
was a cool song.
Vince
I remember when they used to play this song at parties & clubs a lot and
everyone would flock to the dance floor to dance to it...This was before
Prince got weird...Prince was always weird, but this was when Prince was
a cool kinda weird, not like the Prince we know today who is just plain
ol' weird.
Is it appropiate because Lala's as delicate as a dove, or that she cries
a lot? :)
I still hear this song every once in a while on those "cool hits of the
70s, 80s and 90s" format radio stations. I always thought it was a sexy
song. Kind of like the "I'll make Love to you" of the 70s ;)

Which rings true with you? :)

Andy Gibb was the younger brother of the Bee Gees and he was huge in the
late 70s, I mean like, huge! If you compare him to singers from today,
he'd be like Ricky Martin or Enrique Iglesias, he was that popular.
Unfortunately his career slowly declined through the 80s, until finally
in '86 I think, he OD'd on heroin & died.
Vince
I sympathize with you. Mine is "Shadow Dancing" by Andy Gibb. Ick, I hate
that song. And in the UK it's a song from Grease. Double ick.

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow
separately without growing apart.
Friendship is like standing on wet cement, the longer you stay, the
harder it is to leave, and you can never let go without leaving your
prints behind.
No man is worth a woman’s tears. The only man worth her tears is the
man who won’t make her cry.
LOL
Now *that's* putting me in a no-win situation, huh?
lol..since I'd probably get slapped with either answer, I'll just say:
oh, I suddenly developed carpal tunnel syndrome!

Oh my.
That is definitely one of the definitive songs of the 80's.
Rob, you're going to get slapped anyway.

UK : "Get off my cloud" by the "Rolling Stones"
US : "Get off my cloud" by the "Rolling Stones"
Looks like they were like minded either side of the pond, eh?
Can't stand the Rolling Stones myself.
I was born in Cyprus, so I don't identify with either of the
locations particularly; on my birth day at least.
God bless.
Max.
