I was wondering ,if possable, anyone could tell me what Lea is
doing now. She's like a hero to me and i would truely love to go and
see her perform. However i realise she will probably never perform
Miss Saigon again(even though she is the best and easily most
emotional Kim i have heard) but i heard on the grape-vine she was
performing in concerts can anyone verify this?
Anyway it's my first post so i wont bore you all with a really long
one but i think it is fantastic that so many people from so many place
can share an intrest. Best of luck to Lea as well...... one more
question and i mean it not to be offensive it's just my curiosity(as
well as bieng dum) What language do the people of Manilla speak, i
Know it's in the Phillipines but i still can't find anyone who knows
what the native language is! Please help me out :0)
See you all Soon
Andy

Welcome to the NG, Andy!
I'm from Manila... so I think I can answer your question.
Most people in Manila speak the Philippines' national language
which is Filipino or as a dialect it's called Tagalog. Another
language often use by Manilenos (people of Manila) is English.
Ecci :)

reply:
possibly the lead in the revival of rodgers and hammerstein's "Flower Drum
Song" in broadway this fall.
she is also scheduled to perform at the 18th annual STAGE benefit for AIDS
charities on march 10, 2002 at the luckman fine arts complex in los angeles.
it is an all-star concert to pay tribute to the music and lyrics of Johnny
Mercer. the show will be recorded (on CD) for future release.

I would be interested to know how you enjoyed the TAC of LM? Did you have
good seats, and was the atmosphere electric as seen on video?

Hi,
Firstly let me thankyou immensely for replying so quickly and bieng
so friendly towards me. In some groups i have joined (i wont mention
them) people from other countries seem to give me the cold shoulder
because i'm young and from the U.K. Oh well it is truely a fantabulous
(my own word don't ya know) that i can join this grup and be accepted
instantly so thankyou.
Nicky i am very sorry, but you've got thewrong end of the stick! I
wasn't actually at the tenth anniversary concert i've seen the video.
I think i would be about 6 when that came out (im 17 now) so i didn't
know Les Miserables existed!! I'm really sorry and i promise to
explain myself clearer in the future. Anyway i'll start a new topic.
Has anyone seen Lea play Kim in Miss Saigon? If so please tell me how
amazing she was!!! I know that she was fantastic i've got the cast
recording but i really resent not bieng able to go and see her
perform!! Also it's sought of the same subject but more aimed towards
Lea herself! What was it like working with Simon Bowman. He truely is
my hero. I'm going to drama school myself and i really want to perform
in musicals like Les Mis and Miss Saigon. After hereing him sing and
seeing the slight captures from the video "The Heat Is On, the making
of Miss Saigon" I think he is one of the most talented male artists
around. So what was he like/is like? Thanx again everyone and bye!

Besides- I think the Mes Miz TAC took place in late '95, if I'm not
mistaken. That would make Andrew 10 at the time, not 6.
It's like being suddenly given an extra 4 years to live, isn't it? ;)
Dale
>Besides- I think the Mes Miz . . .
Err, I think I meant "Les Miz".
Jeepers- look at the time!!! :)
Dale
No worries!
Don't be annoyed by Steve, he's the pill that we have to swallow. Two

Exactly. Thank you, Dale. :-)
