I was just wondering if you could record it again with Gary Valenciano
or Jimmy Bondoc. You could include it in your upcoming album :) Should
you consider it, please do the complete version. One more thing,
please do the version that's close to the original arrangement. It's
got more feeling. :)

I think Lea knows Jimmy Bondoc from way, way back. I once saw a picture of
Jimmy Bondoc holding a guitar and singing in Lea's birthday party. Lea,
didn't he sing in one of your birthday parties? (Or is this one of my
recurring dreams?)

I agree. Suddenly Love is a very beautiful song. I heard it sung by
Lea before I saw Miong, so I got surprised when I heard it sung in the
musical.

And I think it is also her story :)
Ah, neat observation.

How about...the dog ate the link? It works for homework. =)
do you think filipinos (or any Asian culture) are very materialistic
and status oriented that make our culture/society appear to be very
elitist? if so, how important or less important do you think those
things are?
SUDDENLY, LOVE (Duet with Ariel Rivera)
(Gerard Salonga/Freddie Santos)
Lea:
Ohh...
Ariel:
For much of my life
I have been all alone
Too strong to need someone else
Lea:
For much of my life
Gentle breezes have blown me away
For somebody else
Both:
Suddenly, love comes calling
Love comes falling
Ariel:
And I'm transported to heavens above
Both:
Suddenly, love comes yearning
Love comes burning
Ariel:
And I found myself
Suddenly, me
Lea:
When I turn around
And suddenly, you
Both:
Took me by surprise
Suddenly, love
Ariel:
For much of my life
I have gone my own way
Too far to feel any need
Lea:
For much of my life
I've been happy to stay
Alone in my heart and indeed
Both:
Suddenly, love comes calling
Love comes falling
Ariel:
And I'm transported to heavens above
Both:
Suddenly, love come hoping
Love comes coping
Ariel:
And I found myself
Suddenly, me
Lea:
Out of the blue
You appear
Both:
And I look into your eyes
Suddenly, love
(Instrumental)
Ariel:
Never again will I say ever more
Heaven has plans of its own
Lea:
Never again will I say ever more
Heaven has made sure that I'm not alone
Lea: Ariel:
For much of my life
For much of my life
With so much still to go So much still to go
I know that I'll not see them through
Ohh...
For much of my life
For much of my life I have nowhere to go
As long as I go there with you
Both:
Suddenly, love comes calling
Love comes falling
Ariel:
And I'm transported to heavens above
Both:
Suddenly, love comes yearning
Love comes burning
Ariel:
And I found myself
Suddenly, me
Lea:
When I turn around
And suddenly, you
Both:
Took me by surprise Ariel: Ohh...
Lea:
When I look into your eyes
Both:
Suddenly, love

I think there are just people in all societies that are that way; it's not
exclusive to Asian culture. As for how important material possessions are,
it all depends on what they are, and how they're being used. For example, I
can't live without my computer, which is obviously a material thing. But I
don't have to have a new wardrobe for every season. That's not my thing.

Really? Interesting... Jimmy is a family friend. We got to know him
because he and my brother were together in Sibol (Ateneo High's theater
group). And he wrote and performed a song for my cousin who died of Cancer.
It's a really beautiful song!

Yeah, I really think so, Tin. I think that was the time when Lea did
'Grease' in the Philippines. I remember seeing the picture from my dorm's
newspaper. I think the paper was the PDI. I know of Jimmy Bondoc when I was
in college since a friend of mine studied at Ateneo. (My friend constantly
raves about those Ateneo people who are into music. Jimmy Bondoc, Tony
Lambino... etc etc)
