1. Lea was waiting for her cue to cross the bridge on "I Still Taste
Your Kisses". When she started crossing the bridge, her bottled water
fell to the stage below. Good thing it did not break. According to
Lea, a stagehand was the cause of this booboo. - Miss Saigon Manila
2. Leo Valdez was heavily into his scene during "Thuy's Death" He was
bowing so violently that he accidentally hit Kim behind him with his
head. Curtain closed and when it opened again, a new Kim came out. The
other Kim has to have her neck braced for a couple of weeks. - Miss

Well, we all know that she's the least known of all the Kims. Having
no theater experience at all aside from being a band member performing
abroad and a veteran of amateur singing contests, Jenine was
handpicked to be part of the ensemble in the original MS production.
Gifted with a wide vocal range and an infectious "can-do" attitude.
Jenine rose from the ranks to finally play the coveted role of Kim in
April 21, 1990, alternating with Monique Wilson and Jamie Rivera from
Mondays to Fridays. In the rest of the performances, she plays Gigi
and sometimes that of Yvette. And in somedays, she plays Kim in
matinees and Gigi in evening performances. For 3 years, she's given
the heavy task to rehearse all the new Chrises and Tams... And the
story goes like this...
One night she's playing Gigi with Monique Wilson playing Kim...singing
"The movie in my mind"...then all of a sudden she (Jenine) began
singing Monique's lines...."the movie in my mind, the dream that fills
my head...a man who will not kill...and fight for me instead..." then
Jenine (totally confused) got back to her senses, she then glanced at
her side, seeing Monique (frozed) with her mouth opened wide thinking
what Jenine would do next...
Thank goodness, the audience who aren't very familiar w/ the song
didn't notice at all. The next day, she was asked to report to the
office and received a memo. I think she even said, she took a lot of
ribbing or something after that incident. She was even called the
unsung heroine. She also mentioned that there was a time, Lea fell ill
so Monique had to substitute then suddenly Monique fell ill too so she
had to take her place even if she herself was feeling ill too....
That's it...But you know guys, I believe,Ms. Jenine Desiderio is a
very talented person...and a great KIM...

on Jenine's MS Boo Boos
There was an incident wherein Monique (I'm not sure if she spanked,
punched or slapped) Greg while performing "The Heat is on in Saigon".
All the girls wearing sexy bikinis. According to Monique, He (Greg)
was actually was taking advantage of her,as in touching some sensitive
parts of her body and she couldn't take it anymore so she punched him
on the face right there and then. Some people actually noticed it as
well as the producers but still the show must go on... and so the next
day, both of them were called to the office and had been warned to be
expelled (from the show) if such thing would happen again. Greg
apologized and everything's back to normal. Well according to Monique,
other girls in the cast were experiencing it too but they chosed to
keep silent...they just cried.
And it's SHOWTIME....Monique to play Kim with Greg Ellis as her
leading man (Simon Bowman wasn't available)...thank goodness, nothing
happened.....that's all period....

> I guess a lot of us here has seen Miss Saigon and I would like to hear
> about the different boo-boos that you've seen or heard about during
> the show. Let me start out with:
Aha, I remember one time here in Saigon Manila, when the members of Thuy's
group (hehe, sorry I dunno the correct term) came inside the place where Kim
was after I Still Believe. They came in too roughly, causing one section of
the thin roof (those thin, wavy, metal sheets for roofs) came down earlier
than it was supposed
to. It was supposed to come down a few moments later, when they start
shooting at the place.
I think that was all I witnessed, aside from that technical difficulty they
experienced that they had to put the curtains down during the first time I
watched.
Thanks for sharing the other boo-boos.
Tintin =)
Greg Ellis - Simon Bowman's substitute actor (for Chris)
