:-(
Passenger seat is missing, Drivers seat is cloth on a separate frame, so
not Series style, and is very shabby.
I'm watching some on ebay but thought would ask here too - anyone want
ro sell a set of fronts for an early Defender?
I also see advertised seats for 'defender/discovery'. Does this mean
that I can extend my search to include an early Disco?
Alan
A friend in north carolina fitted disco1 seats in a defender without
an issue. Even was able to use the same tracks. I'll try to get ahold
of him after xmas and advise if he modified anything
Rick
somebody could have recovered a defender one using a cloth style cover
rather than the original leatherette.
Exmoor trim sell all the stuff you might need new to sort out your
seats. I recovered a very tatty pair of defender seats for my 101
(into which they fit using some of the existing mouting holes!).

For the full glory of its tattiness!

Looks like a recovered standard type seat to me. BTW you also seem to have
the steering wheel shroud missing to.

And the other seats :)
Yes, they're standard type seats (as used in Defenders as well as the later
1980's 90 and 110s). Exmoor Trim (as already stated) make a good range -
look at
http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=35&Itemid=58
They are stocked by plenty of Land Rover specialists such as John Craddocks.
I also notice that Paddocks sell the Britpart front seats, which are a
little cheaper.
Are you watching Ebay? There are a pair fitted with heaters going through

Get yourself a set of waterproof seat covers when you manage to get your new
seats. Worrying about getting thw seats dirty rather defeats the purpose of
owning a Land Rover!
Don't bother recovering very old seats. The foam breaks down when they get
too old, and deposits a sand like substance everywhere!
Are you going to get three seats, or just left and right and a centre cubby
box? If you are going for three seats, the middle one doesn't give the
passenger much leg room but is useful in emergencies (or for small children
if you get a 3 point seat belt).
Good luck!

fucking photobucket. I thought i could click the main part of the broken
url and type the remainder in. But it bounces straight to some front page
or other.
I reckon that seat is from an LDV van, although it may be on the original LR
runners.

Either way, I bought a complete front set to replace that mess.
