the up-coming reunion
Submitted by Exxxx Sxxxxxx on October 28, 2011 - 3:27pm.
Hi fellow est graduates,
First, thanks to the author for this article. It's not at all like
some of the snarky articles I've read about est, an event that truly,
as he points out, was pivotal for many of us. Thank you for the
respect and regard that you hold so many people.
I am not sure why I am listed as "anonymous" in the above posting. I
signed my post on FaceBook.
I actually and truly want to see this reunion succeed. I so loved the
reunion of est grads that was held 2 years ago. I didn't really know
about it until last minute and ALMOST missed it. This one seems to
have more lead-time and ample opportunity to reach out to many more
people.
My initial concerns about it being a "selling" opportunity for the
leaders, their workshops, books, etc. has been allayed.
One of the things I have LOVED the most is our agreement in the early
days of est, and now, Landmark, is to make the spaces safe for each
other by not promoting our outside work to each other.
I am one person who knows that I NEED to make an agreement like that
because I am ALWAYS promoting SOMETHING because I'm a passionate human
being about my projects which are ALL about making a difference. My
fellow graduates would be my "target" audience and it's for their sake
that we have an agreement to not promote within the programs. In turn,
I appreciate not being other people's "target" audience when we're
together. In no small part, it's that safety which we have created
that makes our programs so darn effective. We know going in that we
won't have someone standing up to "share" his or her product or
services.
Thanks for writing the article, and thank you too, everyone for
expressing himself or herself. Even with the little jabs here in and
there, most everyone comported themselves with dignity!!
See you at the Biltmore!
Warm regards, Exxxx Sxxxxx
