Excuse me if this information has been posted before. I often
see "What happened to MMM?" questions posted, so I thought
I might (re) post this.

I searched Yahoo for references to Kevin and Bean, and I found
this site, which is a list of OJ-related lawsuits:

http://www.lainet.com/lawsuits/oj.htm

Most of the suits are about book deals gone bad, or against
overzealous paparazzi. Here is the one that interests me:

[---- begin included material ----------]

Michael J. Burton and Donna M. Zamora v. Infinity Broadcasting
of Los Angeles, Inc., dba "World Famous KROQ 106.7 FM," Kevin
Beyerler, aka Kevin Ryder, Gene "Bean" Baxter, et al. "Michael the
Maintenance Man" is fired from L. A. rock station after he declines
to accept assignment from morning disc jockeys "Kevin and Bean"
to put on a sandwich board "containing racially provocative
statements" and parade with it around the L. A. Criminal Courts
Building on the day the Simpson verdict was announced. He also
declined to "make obscene statements" about the treatment of
Afro-Americans through a bullhorn. D. J. Kevin then allegedly told
him he had a "bad attitude" and he was fired. (LASC, 16 pp.)

[----- end included material ---------]

I didn't know Kevin's name was Beyerler.

My thanks to the person last week who told me that Tad's
name is Newcomb. I hope to have the pictures of him scanned
and ready to post this week.

I didn't know that either.

It's interesting reading the legal mumbo-jumbo. I assume that the
lawyers knew that Burton had made "obscene statements" about the
treatment of Afro-Americans through a bullhorn countless times.
(Of course, this was probably the only time Burton was asked to
do this when the L.A. police were on full alert...)
