Does anyone know the nature of Ray's undisclosed illness which forced
him to cancel his US tour? I certainly hope it is nothing too
serious.

Nothing has been said specifically about Ray's illness, so we can only
guess. I'm still concerned about Dave, too. He was supposed to do a few
shows earlier this year, but they were cancelled - with the idea of
rescheduling for later in the year, but that never happened.

Haven't heard anything further on Ray. Maybe he just needs a rest.

Correction: that hasn't happened YET. I'm still hopeful that Dave will
perform again.

Joanne, I appreciate your optimism, but the silence about touring on
Dave's sight speaks volumes. If he were going to do it, he'd be talking
about it. He's got another cd out, the Auschere Project. Also doing
another Crystal Radio cd. So it appears he is too busy with studio stuff
to tour.

Well, you could be right, and probably are right. I just think that
saying "Dave's touring days are over - period - end of story" is too
narrow a view.

I think the fact that Dave is well enough to be working on studio
projects also indicates that he might be well enough to perform at
some point in the future.

When those shows were cancelled/postponed last year, the official
reason was that Dave had been advised not to travel by air, not that
the performing itself would be a danger. So, maybe he'll decide to
some gigs in England. He has a fan base over there as well as in the
U.S. I realize his band is over here, but he could ask one of his sons
to put together another band if flying Jim, Jonathan and Dave Nolte
over to England would be too expensive.

If flying is bad for Dave, maybe he should hop aboard a cruise ship
headed towards the USA. :)

Or maybe he could just perform aboard the ship. :-)

Yep, possibly heading for a Holiday in Wakiki :)

Or, just a Holiday. :-)

I could imagine Dave sitting in the midday sun, with no particular
purpose or reason...
