Have you noticed a little flaw in the Matrix?

Hi, everybody!

I've watched the Matrix nine times now and I watched and perceived it in
a different way every time. In the beginning I looked at the story, I
absorbed the first impression of the visual and acoustic impact (I'm not
going to get into the diversity of the K-impact here).
Then I focused on a more analytic way of watching, picking up more and
more of the many stylistic details as well as the details within the
story.
Finally I took a close look at the whole thing searching for flaws (you
wouldn't believe what you can find even in Oscar winning movies! Huuuuge
mistakes in details like wardrobe, makeup, props,...) and in the Matrix
there really aren't any, except for one little thing I've noticed...
(it's really only a very tiny detail, but it's definitely a flaw) It
wouldn't be any fun to give this little mistake away just like that,
would it? So, have you seen anything that seemed wrong??

BTW, the gals who have been looking at the ONE and ONLY closely might
qualify to find out quicker than those who stared at something else (why
would you, anyway?)

Tanja probably has something different in mind, but:

Weeeeellllll . . . let me see here. Neo's hair changes from being on his
forehead to off when he's sitting at the computer. His sideburns change when he
and Trin are talking in the car on the way to the Oracle. His hair also changes
when he's in the car getting "debugged." Those are pretty picky, though. Is
there something else? C'mon, fess up!

When Morpheus and Neo meet, Morpheus' hand is behind his back holding the pill
box, then when you see it from Neo's side, his arm is down, then it goes back
and his hand is behind him again.

One funny thing I notice every time is during the spinning scene where you see
the phone, and everyone is standing still looking cool. Keanu moves his head. I
just wanna pelt him for doing that. Oh well, hindsight ...

Paige was annoyed at Neo:

Maybe he did it on purpose. When I studied Art Appreciation, I remember
VAGUELY something being known as "centered perception" or some crap like what I
just made up. The artist purposely places emphasis in a specific area of the
work of art in order to draw the onlooker's attention directly to the subject:
Like the Last Supper. All of the disciples are looking directly in toward the
center of the piece, the image of Jesus. So, the viewer also directs his/her
attention to the image of Jesus. In the Matrix, the WBrothers probably told
him to move a little to draw a contrast between them and the One. (I know that
was all crap, but it was well worth the explanation.)

No, no, no...
Slightly different positions between cuts technically are flaws, but they are not
what I meant (for example: look at the scene where M and N are in the white
construct and M explains the horrible truth to N: the reflection of N in the
glasses of M do not always match with the camera shot, especially when N gets sick
in the stomach and bends over, he's still standing straight when you look at M's
glasses...) No, that's not what I meant.
What I found was this:
When N is freed from the plant he is completely hairless (the face, the body,
everything...) my o my, now this got me thinking of Keanu's everything again! What
a way to start my tuesday (in my time zone it's nine o'clock in the morning right
now, I've got to hurry to the office!).
In the "Am I dead? "Far from it."-scene N's face is still completely hairless, but
in the following scene "Why do my eyes hurt?" N has no hair on his head, but his
eyebrows are dark and full... that's impossible! Our eyebrows would take at least
3 weeks to grow back, but N was on the ship for a few days only. Plus: the hair on
his (absolutely adorable) head and his eyebrows would grow at the same speed, so
it's impossible that he has no hair but full eyebrows, right? So, instead of
shooting all of the hairless scenes at once, they shot this scene later (too
late), Ke was shaving his head regularly, but he let his eyebrows grow back.

Ta-dah! That's it. I have to run now... fortunately "everything" is still on my
mind, so I guess the day won't be all that bad.

The couple of things that I noticed were the bitten cookie, which has
been discussed already, and the time when Neo is preparing to go
Bye-Bye, there is a part when he looks in the cracked mirror and you
see Morpheous in the background and when the screen shot comes back,
when Neo sticks his cute finger into the mirror, Morpheous is gone, but
even though I have seen the movie well into the teen's I always seem to
zero in on the that part.

CRAZY FOR KEANU

This isn't really a flaw, just something I was curious about dealing with the
matrix which COULD turn out interesting.
While seeing The Matrix on the 60x40 ft screen!!! I was paying attention the
the part where Keanu is being "born" in the powerplant, (cause you know, he was
naked and you can always hope for a slip up that went un-noticed in editing)
and he is sliding down the tube like thing (which looks like fun) and well the
camera is shooting right between his thighs and I cant help but think that
maybe what I thought was a shadow of a sequoia tree could actualy be something
that could use a little further investigation.

When asked "Whats so cool about Keanu?" My reply was:"Whats not?"

This might not be a mistake but the part at the end when Neo is running
from the agents, and you see the back of him just before he climbs the
fireescape; that is a body double. And when you see the back of his head
while he jumps off the fireescape; thats a body double. And when you see
keanu get thrown against the wall just before getting punched
repeatiedly in the stomach, that looks like a body double. Also, in the
end just before they kiss Trinity lays her body, and her hand on his
head to protect him from the sentinels. However, when you see a close up
of Keanu's face right before they kiss, her hand wasn't on his head
anymore. That scene clicked to a close up too fast for her hand to be
off his forehead so quick. The reason why I know they were body doubles
is because, the shape of the doubles body, and neck were totally
different from Keanu's. If anyone noticed these flaws write back to me
in this newsgroup.

Madame:

> If anyone noticed these flaws write back to me in this newsgroup. <

Those are not flaws. They are called protecting the multi-million dollar star
from injury. His body double's name is Thomas Scott. As Mr. Wachowski put it:
"Damn safety officers! We wanted to shoot a rocket at Keanu Reeves face and
they said, I don't think that's a good idea!"

Keanu says: "If you see me, it's me. If you think you're seeing me, it's not
me."

Of course no one has that exact body. In Point Break, during the fire scene at
the gas station, you see Thomas quite plainly. He's wearing a t-shirt under his
outer shirt, and Keanu isn't.

Actually, this is Keanu in that scene, not a body double. I have a tape of
behind the scenes stuff. In it, you can definitely see it is him in all the
subway scenes. In fact, after a take of being dragged across the floor, he
jumps up and starts singing the Four Seaons "Rag Doll" :)
