December Eighteen is a good number and has good vibes: 18 (1+8=9) and
9 is cool. December equals the 12 month and 1+2 = 3 so 9 and 3 are
good and added together are 12 or 1+2 = 3 again. FWIW, impromptu
numerology.
But what I really want to say: re Art in DA. I liked the blue painting
hanging to the right as Kevin Lomax leaves Mary Ann's hospital room
after she commits suicide. I don't know where that painting comes
from, but it made the scene, nearly (blue, maybe a blue flower in the
rain?) Could have been original art, could have been something picked
up off a shelf for the pic, or something hanging in a real hospital,
if they used one? (kinda doubt it).

OK here's a question for you J and everyone who's seen DA. You win
a contest, and you can have any one piece of memorabilia from the
movie (as long as it's say, valued under $3000). No fancy cars, no
cheating, it's got to be something original unto the movie itself
like this painting. It can be art or clothing or furniture, or a
prop of some kind, so what would it be?

I must write a preamble and say Kevin, Kevin, Kevin. I want Kevin
Lomax. Alas, having said that, here's my preamble b/c I never play
exactly by rules:

First to come to mind is the wedding band, b/c it's gold and Keanu
wore it and I would like to touch it just to see if it picked up any
of his vibes. Maybe it wouldn't have, and I certainly wouldn't want to
keep it b/c that seems invasive or overly interested somehow, but I'd
just like to hold it. Probably I would pick up nothing, but with gold
especially, ya never know. Gold is a precious metal (assuming it was
gold, of course, maybe it was just a fake and not a jewer's ring? in
which case I omit #1)

I certainly like Kevin sitting in front of the fireplace, talking to
Milton. I'd karate chop Milton out of the way and take his chair and
talk to Kevin. That fireplace, if Santa came down it during the
conversation, ok but not a requirement. The chair would be a nice
souvenir. I could talk to it and pretend I was talking to Keanu.

Narrowing the topic-I'd like to win all of Keanu's clothes that he
wore in the film. Without him in them, of course, I'd like to just
pile them up, hug them hard, and not let go. I'd trust that the ether
would transmit the sentiment to the K-Man.

Someone else will pick earrings, anybody for all the suspenders he
wore in DA? I'd like to see the suspender selection; I'd look for the
ones he wore in Charlotte, which is admittedly a nosy thing to do. I'm
not nosy, however, just curious and interested in the facts.

The door he threw himself against. Glass broken out. I could think of
a place to use it just like one would use a stained glass window.
"This safety glass insert demolished by Keanu Reeves during the
filming of DA." could be a bronze plaque that would fit.

As would the script development for what if Kevin *had* gotten into
that elevator with Milton and his demonic pals and rode up to the
suite?

What about the aluminum foil goose that Judity Ivey carried in from
the taxi? I would use it half the year in the DejavaNews Coffee
House, then I'd donate it to Joey's restaurant.
