FAMILY:HIGH WIND RANCH..ERMA..RORY..DREUX..AND PEACE

HIGH WIND RANCH is intended to be a place for everyone to
dream of and visit...to carry on John's work...NOT HIS
CELEBRITY...BUT HIS WORK...which is about children (and
big people) and music and the environment and holistic
works...spirituality..individuality and freedom of choice..
community...compassion..passion and caring......
INCLUDING WHAT ONE PERSONALLY BELIEVES IN AND WANTS TO
SUPPORT...YES...I am going to live at the Ranch...and so
will at least four other people....likely members of this
INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY are Ellen Stapenhorst, JP MacDaniel,
Kollene Sublette, Emma Walling (who cooked at Windstar
forever) and who knows who else..THIS IS NOT MY PRIVATE
RETREAT...I currenty live in a beautiful log home..six
miles from Rollinsville...surrounded by trees on a dirt road,
I will be giving up my privacy and much of my own work...
to facilitate this project..as will the others who live there.
I actually don't need to defend this issue...because it isn't
an issue. Windstar was mostly staffed by people who had a job
there...Jeanie Tomlinson and Bartlett being the exception..
and me when I worked there...Tom Crum and John Katzenburg
as well....and a few gradeners and many volunteers....BUT
most didn't have time to greet visitors or say..Welcome would
you like some Windstar bread and would you like to camp here
by the lake?? It was not a community..it was a wonderful
environmental research center and marketing/networking office
and alot more...but it was not user friendly in it's later
years and never FAN FRIENDLY....I was told numerous times not
to play John's music there...those of you who had experiences
of a similar nature will know what I mean... HIGH WIND IS
ABOUT WIN WIN....but people better be living there who know
John's music..share his vision and know that "Heart to
Heart" is more than a song....and someone needs to know how
to play a song...write a song..teach a song....INVITE
SOMEONE TO LEARN A SONG...OR SHARE A SONG in short John's
vision and dreams need people who believe and live in the
same place as he did/ does..BECAUSE HIS SPIRIT IS VERY ALIVE
AND VERY MUCH A PART OF THIS.....HIGH WIND BLOWIN'..INDEED.
So support it if you wish..if you wonder about my integrity.
feel free to ask someone else...I direct childrens choirs,
write poetry and I am working to promote John's legacy of
song and love.Erma and Abe were the first to contribute to
this work. If that does not work for you..that's OK..BECAUSE
IT WORKS FOR ME AND It would seem by the possitive responses
we have received...to work for many others...AS MUCH AS I
LOVE RORY AND CONNIE....sole ownership by anyone will not
work....and I think we came to this amicably...it has to be
a jointly run intentional community of artisans and healers
and vision carriers...I am not the only one putting in major
$$. MANY PEOPLE ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THE CREATION OF SUCH A
SPACE.and many people are needed to make it work.******
.and believe me if I didn't think we knew how to do it right
..we would not be attempting it.Windstar's difficulties
were a great sadness to me...as they were to him.. I KNEW
JOHN..and I know his spirit well...he was never a corporate
person...he was a simple(and complex) beautiful man who had
enormous gifts of vision and spirit and love...what ever part
of him is with us is what will and IS shaping this project.

cry...HELLO ?? Erma has lost two husbands and one of the
most beautiful sons a mother could have...MOST ANYTHING
AND EVERYTHING MAKES HER CRY...at the risk of being a little
sarcastic....COULD WE HAVE A LITTLE REALITY HERE....John's
music makes her cry...compassion and comfort are the key.
I lost my dad last April and even looking at his hammer makes
me cry.******* As for RORY.....HE IS AN AMAZING MAN DOING
WHAT HE CAN...the event at the Jerome would and I'm sure DID
BLESS JOHN ENORMOUSLY. The speakers and performers were all
people John knew and loved...the right information was given
with heart and knowledge...and the singer JOHN ADAMS, from
Holland...is hands up the best performer of John's music...
if you haven't heard him.....get a hold of his CD.....he has
skills of guitar...voice and most importantly heart...he has
an accent...but he also has the magic. SO THE JEROME EVENT
WAS PERFECT.****I AM VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE BEEN INCLUDED..
MY DEEPEST THANKS TO RORY AND EVERYONE WHO WORKED ON IT***
AND TO DREUX for his wisdom....heart and skill in helping to
orchestrate it.AS FOR PEACE....and I know this first heart..
er hand....I have some real anger at my own brother because
he didn't help with our father's funeral..with the help
of Tom Crum and Ellen at an Aiki week..I dug into the anger
and discovered that it's roots were actually in my grief over
my dad's death....and my brother was just an available target..
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE ANGER THAT FLASHES ON THESE PAGES
ISN'T MISS PLACED CHUNKS OF THE INCREDIBLE GRIEF WE ALL CARRY
When my heart really lets me look for instant at the fact
that he is really gone..and I won't see him again in this
realm...I personally cannot bare it.AND MAKE A BIG NOTE...

and the others willing to pick up the "torch" and to put in the time to help
