I have read some bashing about this individual in this newsgroup.I seldom post,
but I feel the need to respond to this one. I Know Paul, he is a very kind,
good looking, hardworking individual who can play the guitar better than anyone
I know. He enjoys playing John's music, and is a fine songwriter himself.
Anyone that has his Cd would know this. It seems to me that people out there
telling him to get a life need obviously do not know Paul at all. he is a
family man and I am proud to call him a friend. Bash away if you want to, But
I know and the friends of Paul know as well as his family know different.

hi cindy,

count me in on the positive side of Paul....

have seen him in Doylestown, Pa., and Aspen....he seems like a nice down to
earth guy, and how bad could he be if he's trying to keep Johns' music
alive...???

hope all is well with you...it's been a long time since we've chatted..

who's bashing Paul now? he's an ok bloke! a nice man, and a good hearted
soul. once upon a time, I took an exception to something he posted, but we
talked off-ng, and we talked it through. I will not say anything negative
about Paul Swanton!

I'll say something postive about Paul....he sings John's must so beautifully.
He sang at the Marroon Bells for hours a couple of years ago. It probably was
the highlight of the evening....enjoyed and appreciated.

Cindy,

I have to agree with you, Paul is a very sweet guy! He really came to
my rescue during the Vision Walk. He is the the type of guy who would
go out of his way to help others. It is really ashame that someone is
bashing him.

Yeah. I think he's an okay guy, too. (grin)

Thanks for all the sweet posts, everyone.

:-)
Beth

P.S. I'm sure his ego is now through the roof. He's going to be hell to
live with. :-) I still wouldn't trade him for the world.

LuLu,

I just figured it out. I made a remark about a JD look alike telling
JesseBell he was her daddy at the Aspen in October events. It was an
example of what COULD happen if reasonable precautions weren't taken. I was
unaware or had long forgotten that Paul had a JD look about him a few YEARS
ago, which is what triggered the memory, I suppose. Anyway, Paul is fine,
and he wasn't the target of the remark, but the crazies were. Overall, from
what I saw a few years ago, some of the women were almost violent, in a
fanatical way, with the pushing and shoving and stealing. Maybe old DG can
hook up with a few of them in October in Aspen. I mean, who'd want to be
pen paling in Alaska in October? It is too cold. <G>
