John Denver graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth
Texas. He was honored by the high school in the last few years and was
mentioned as contributing a message of congratulations to a retiring
teacher in the Alumni newsletter. As a graduate of the high school in
1976, his music was important to me during that time plus a proud
achievement for someone who attended our school.
I will miss his contributions to the world.

That is correct. She is from somewhere in the greater Minneapolis area,
most likely Edina.

Acoording to the album cover of "Take Me To Tomorrow" john did live in
Edina, and I'm pretty sure I recall reading that he attended high
school but there apparently moved (as military dependent) before
graduation. Seems like I may have read something on a Mitchell Trio
album, but I can't find anything now.

Any typo's are just that. I'm an expert speller.
John spent all 3 of his high school years in Fort Worth. He came to
Fort Worth from Alabama where he lived for a year. On Oct. 1, John did
a concert in Fort Worth at the Will Rodgers Auditorium. He reflected
that "the last time I was on this stage, I was getting my high school
diploma." After that concert, about 75 of his high school classmates
had a reunion with John. Tonight several of those who were there that
night talked about their old friend on the local news here in the
Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Annie was from St. Peter, Minnesota, a small town about 60 miles south
of Minneapolis. She met John when the Chad Mitchell Trio performed at
Gustavus Adolphus College there. I grew up there but was a few years
behind her in school and never met her. John and Annie supposedly
married in St. Peter - lots of excited talk about who was visiting our
little town on that day. Mama Cass was said to be there among others.

JD spent some time at Niceville High in Niceville, FL. It's where the
kids of folks stationed at the nearby Air Force Base went. According
to some teachers who taught him while he was there he was "the
ultimate geek" and was not liked. I guess he blossomed later.
No, it was Arlington Heights High in Ft. Worth, TX. Saw him Oct. 1st at
Will Rogers Auditorium in Ft. Worth. He made the comment that the last time
he was on this stage he graduated from high school.
