Listen up, gang,

I see several msgs every time I post pictures here, where people
cannot see the attatched JPGS, GIFs, whatever. You need to check the
help file in whatever browser you are using and read up on BINARY
ATTATCHMENTS. You have to learn how to execute them (launch them for
those of us using agent)

It is definately worth the learning-effort if you hang around this
News Group! (always great pix to share)

This is all well and good....but only when your local isp _allows_ binary
images. Our local isp recently dumped all the binary ng's. Something that a
photographer like me gets rather bummed out about :( Now I have to be on-line
and over at www.remarq.com to see the pictures :((

Peace,
Theresa

Hey Theresa. I was going to post something similar. I "know" how to view
attachments sent to me in emails, but on the ng, no can do. There is a
mention in the subject line that there is an attachment, but no way to open
it.

Good point about binary ng's. AFAIK, afjd is not a binary group. Posting
pics, although I'd be the first to clamour for them if I could see them,
really goes against the rules of the group.

So, I guess we'll have to miss out on some great photo finds!

No, you won't. I always check anything I download through my virus scanner (no
offense, Scott - it's just habit with me) and am happy to email any of the
photos that are posted.

In Outlook Express they usually appear as attachments, same as emails - just
click on the paperclip icon. But not Scott's - maybe you attach them in a
different way, Scott?

It was wonderful (despite not getting Troy as the guide). Our guide knew
Troy, and the places he had taken John. We didn't get to all of them, but
did visit the big cave, and the nautiloid fossils and 2 billion year old
rock. And to top it off, we spent our last night in the Canyon on the same
beach where John spent his (the place where they had the campfire, and he
said the words about sunset being different from sunrise). When I've typed
up my notes, I'll post them.

I took 11 reels of pictures, plus part of one still in my camera. some of
them are of Zion park though, and a few of Las Vegas and Sedona. The guides
names were Art and Goldie (no Troy).

More later.

Good! Can't wait to hear more, Christine. How neat you got to see the big
cave, etc.!
