That's a shame, he was a great artist. My favorite album of his is
"Oxygène". "Equinoxe" is a good one, too. And his version of the
synthesizer classic "Popcorn" is one of the best. His music changed,
though (and not for the better) when he had the sex-change operation and
became "Wendy Carlos". I don't know why that is, but it's true; his
output as a woman doesn't equal that as a man.

That was Walter Carlos and not Jarre. You confused, dude.

Christ, I hope you're making a joke. Maurice Jarre composed motion
picture SOUNDTRACKS! Jean-Michel Jarre is the still-living EM artist
who recorded the works you mentioned. But mehtinks you're shining us
all on with the idiotic Carlos comment. So, you get +2 for the troll
attempt.

As for Maurice Jarre's passing, it is sad. The guy was a helluva
composer. Here are some of his better known soundtracks:
