I'm look for the perfect boat name. Being a parrothead there is so many lines
from Jimmy's songs that would be great boat names, I can't decide on one
particular name. So I decided "I would ask some of my friend's" for
suggestions?

Remember the name can't be to long!!!!! The boat is 200 Horizon by Four Winn's

You might want to try the Parrothead Boat Name Generator at
http://www.soasoas.com/buffett-bin/boatNames.pl
I just discovered it, but it looks very cool. Just keep hitting the button
till you find a name you like.

There's too many good ones. We just named our boat "Floridays". The logo
has palm trees on one side and a sloshing margarita glass on the other. We,
obviously, live in FL and enjoy the sun and water as much as possible. When
thinking of a name for our boat here are a few others we considered:
La Vie Dansante (The Dancing Life)
I Love the Now
Lattitude - Attitude
Fruitcakes
Lone Palm
Changing Channels
Livin' it Up
Jolly Mon
This' What Livin' is to Me (long but good)

Respond back after you choose a name so we can all share!

I've always thought The Good Fight would be a good name. I also like the
Blonde Stranger.

Funny this thread should come up now - We are finally putting our name on
our boat this weekend - "Indecision" We've gone throught two boats before
we could agree on this name. It really suits my husband Lach - as he can
never make up his mind & his favorite line is: Indecision may or maynot be
my problem" <sic JB> And I totally relate to the following lyrics from Lone
Palm:

~We sailed from the port of indecision
~Young and wild with oh so much to learn
~Days turned into years as we tried to fool our fears
~But to the port of indecision I returned.

I am going to have a small plaque made up - I think it would be cool to
commerate the date we named the boat & to also acknowledge Jimmy's
influence!

Two things you should think about: One - how easily you can say the name -
if you are using the VHF then you'll have to repeat it three times every
time you sign on & off... and Two - how the name relates to you & your
enviroment....just a thought :-)

I'll offer up some of the Buffett inspired names we were considering, as
they are still posted just above the computer -

Changin Channels
Hot Water
Nautical Wheeler
Invisible Means
Wild Meridian
Temperate Zone
Siren Song
Little Latitudes
Seeking Therapy or just Therapy (my personal favorite)
Manana
Lattitude Chaser
Calypso
Miss Magic

Let us know what you choose!
