On the subject of boots, where can I get some genuine shrimpskin
boots? How many shrimps does it take to make a pair of boots?
Anyhow I think it makes quite a picture. A cowboy with an expensive
pair of "shrimpskins" on and wearing only cheap cheroots. No wonder he
looks so out of place.

It's a cheap cigar or cigarillo.

A cheroot is a type of cigar. Clint Eastwood would smoke them in some
of his westerns.

A cheroot is a small cigar, not as strong as the big ones.
I believe it's:
Now way in the up near future, southeast of disorder
And . . .
Shrimp skin boots and cheap cherots (sp?; a type of cigar)

I believe that the lyric is:

You're confusing two lines.
I'm pretty sure it's:
"Way in the near future, southeast of disorder
You can shake the hand of the mango man
as he greets you at the border.
And the lady she hails from Trinidad
Aloe and other spices.
Salt for your meat, and cinnamon sweet,
and the rum is for all your good vices."

Sorry guys, the lyric is most certainly:
"Now.... way in the near future, Southeast of disorder,
You can shake the hand, of the Mango man
as he meets you at the border."

I don't think that they are necessarily correct, though. If tide
rigging is going to sing, then the vessel must be *suspended* by
those durned spring lines. Not a usual condition for a sailboat
at sea ;-)

Actually here it is:
Now away in the near future
Southeast of disorder
You can shake the hand of the mango man
As he greats you at the border
And the lady she hails from Trinidad
Island of the spices
Salt for your meat, and cinnamon sweet
And the rum is for all your good vices
