I am about two weeks away from my annual run down to Key West.
Can anyone tell me where I can find Jimmy's house on the
island? I was also wondering if any of you can remember any of
the bars Jimmy used to and/or continues to hang out in down
there? I want to check these places out. Let me know.

Lookin' for that damn shaker of salt,

Jimmy does not live in Key West. His main residence is in New York.
However he does travel down to Florida quite often

That's news to me. He moved from his house near the airport to a house about 12
blocks away from the airport.

I haven't seen him here in about a year, though. The Hemisphere Dancer has been
here a few times in the last year, I just don't know if he was flying it.

And, hell no, I'm not telling you where his house is (to the previous poster,
not Dan.). There's really no reason to go to that spot of town. There's nothing
historical and we don't DO "Star maps to Buffett's and Kelly McGillis' places."

Jimmy sold his residence in KW to a corporation a couple of years ago. He
says he has a new home there but I've never heard anything about the
location. I heard that he sold his former residence because it was located
on the canal and the local jet-ski tour guides were telling everyone where
his place was causing excessive traffic. I've been by it, and to the best
of my memory, take Flagler to 19th Street and as you round the bend onto
Sunrise Drive it will be on the left - a pinkish/peach colored (may have
changed?) house with a 4 foot wall around it. There was a small "beware of
occupant" sign on the wall near the driveway, don't know if the new owners
left it there or not.

Louie's Back Yard, Blue Heaven (great food - very unique atmosphere) and
Captain Tony's Saloon (business cards and bras appreciated - you'll see) are
a few of his old haunts - most any of the tourist booths can tell you where
they are. And, of course, Margaritaville (needs a thorough cleaning), next
to Fast Buck Freddies on Duval.

Have fun!

Hey Eric, thats something I have never understood... you go out
to Hollywood and buy a map to the stars homes. And then what do
you do, sit outside Susan Sarandan's hosue hoping she comes out
to pick up the newspaper in bathrobe and curlers.

See you in about a week....

In his book he said he lived next door to Louie's Backyard - on Waddell on the
gulf side.
