I don't need to adjust my thinking Dave, I genuinely am trying to
understand why Jenn has these problems, and nobody else.

Is Jenn telling the truth? As she sees it, yes.

Do I care? Nup, not any more, I just have a chuckle knowing that she
makes a fool of herself each time she does it.
