here's my order..

TLD- real spy story, beliveable plot, excfellent music, excellent acting,
close to original story, nice car, good opening teaser- all round good fun
LTK- most realistic of them all, excellent acting although the locations are
rather dull
FYEO- brillaint scenery, brillaint action scenes eg climbing up to St.Basils
or whatever, nice use of FYEO and other short stroies - Moore can act!
OP- another nice all rounder, frustration and suspense when bond is trying
to defuse the bomb is almost palpable
OHMSS- probably my favourite ever bond main theme. The ending of this, IMO,
is one of the most moving scenes I've ever seen in a film of this kind. I
also like the past scenes shown in the credits
TWINE- like the Elktra-Bond-Renard relationship, like the Elektra betrayal +
bond shooting her, nice to have some continuity for once (return of Tanner,
Robinson, portrait of Bernard Lee, semi-refernce to Bond's wife), nice to
see some Bonds characteristics e.g dislike of killing in cold blood , like
the opening credits, London setting in the bginning, and climax on sub.
GE- deals with new world disorder/end of cold war well, relationship between
bond and M is done well, like the opening credits, title song, 006-007
relationship
LALD- like the music, 70s atmosphere, crocidile farm scene
TSWLM- brilliant teaser, love the Bond77 theme and the lotus. Love the scene
where Lotus drives out of water onto the beach, bond winds down the window
and drops the fish. the look on Moore's face as he stares at the people
staring at him is priceless.
TND- 'fun' but too much action. blike the M/Roebuck relationship
MR- good cable car scene, stupid plot
AVTAK- brillaint score, hate the teaser
DN, GF, FRWL, TB- haven't seen for a while, but I they don't hold my
attention.
DAF- hate the Las Vegas setting
YOLT- stupid plot
TMWTGG- boring.

These are what I consider the best: (in terms of film making)

1. FRWL
2. OHMSS
3. GF
4. DR.NO
5.YOLT
6. TH
7.LTK
8.FYEO

These are the best (in terms of my personal enjoyment):

1. YOLT (not just my favorite Bond, but my all time favorite film of any
kind: my heart is still pumping!)
2. OHMSS (would have been #1. if Sean had been in it,as is it's damn
near perfect)
3.FRWL(the most realistic)
4.GF(it made the series)
5.TH(the biggest Bond of all!)
6.DR.NO(nice intro )
7. LTK (first actual "story" in 20 years)
8.FYEO (shows what RM could do with a half way decent script)
9.TND (just 2 words,Michelle Yeoh!)

Always a fun game. I'll play, and add a note or two on what I think each film
has going for it (or not going for it) just for kicks.

1. From Russia With Love - Best fight scene, best plot
2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Best Girl, Lazenby's not as bad as some
people think, best chase scene
3. Goldfinger - Best car, best death-trap
4. Thunderball - Best gadget (the helmet looks silly, but the jet-pack is still
cool as all hell)
5. Dr. No - Best Felix, best locale
6. The World is Not Enough - Brosnan's best performance, probably the
best-looking Bond Girl ever (rest assured, I'm talking about Sophie, not
whatsername)
7. The Spy Who Loved Me - Best henchman, best theme song, 2nd best Bond Girl,
best single stunt (maybe in any movie ever)
8. You Only Live Twice - Best villain (you just can't top Donald Pleasance for
sheer creepy weirdness)
9. The Living Daylights - A little bit too dour, but still a lotta good stuff
here
10. GoldenEye - highly entertaining, nice variation on standard nuclear-weapons
plot
11. License to Kill - A bit silly, far from my favorite Girl, but great
performance from Dalton
12. Tomorrow Never Dies - really, really non-threatening villain with a
massively stupid master plan, but god how I love that motorcycle (and Michelle
Yeoh ain't so bad, neither)
13. For Your Eyes Only - Dull. Uninteresting. Not terrible, but not all that
great, either.
14. Diamonds Are Forever - Connery's worst EON outing by far, worst Blofeld,
Jimmy Dean the Sausage King
15. Live and Let Die - Great theme song, largely boring
16. Moonraker - Lame villain, Bond in Space is bad idea
17. The Man With the Golden Gun - Bad henchman, waste of the brilliant
Christopher Lee
18. Never Say Never Again - Connery really does seem a bit old for it,
Thunderball did it all better
19. Octopussy - Silly, uninvolving, bored performance by Moore
20. A View To a Kill - Worst villain, worst hench(wo)man, worst Bond Girl (as
hard a time as I had believing Denise Richards as a scientist, I had a much
harder time beleiving Tanya Roberts as...well, anything, really), interrupting
ski chase with lame-ass Beach Boys joke, criminal misuse of a former Avenger,
the single worst performance by any actor portraying James Bond, and twelve
assorted felony and misdemeanor counts of the presence of Grace Jones.

Gordon Stokes

Other notable Gordons include: Flash Gordon, Commissioner Gordon, Gordon Jump,
Gordon Lightfoot, Gordon "Gordie" Howe, G. Gordon Liddy, Artemus Gordon, Gale
Gordon, General "Chinese" Gordon and "Gordon" by Barenaked Ladies.

Ditto, but only my top five:

1) LTK - most realistic plot (read - least silly, ala Moonraker, Diamonds
are Forever, Goldfinger); best chase sequence - using Tanker trucks was
novel; most competent Bond girl in Miss Bouvier (the yummy Cary Lowell); no
Batman-like groups of henchmen that appear out of nowhere; great acting job
by Dalton - a truly vengeful Bond; best use of Q in a Bond film. (Small
drawback - Hedison seems a bit too cheerful at the end)
2) FRWL - best spy plot; nice, useful gadgets provided by Q; best one-on-one
fight scene with Connery and Shaw.
3) TLD - another believable plot without Batman-like groups of henchmen
appearing out of nowhere; best action sequence ever in a Bond film when
Bond steals the cargo plane (got the plane off the ground - whew - wait -
eliminates big Russian guy at 20k feet - whew - wait - turns off bomb
detonator in the nick if time - whew - wait - avoids crashing the plane into
a mountain - whew - wait - successfully escapes the fueless plane before it
crashes - whew - time for dinner); Enjoyed the interaction between
Bond/Saunders and Bond/Pushkin.
4) GF - silly, but entertaining. What more can I say.
5) OHMSS - my favorite theme; love the car chase; Diana Rigg is excellent as
Bond's love interest.
