Ian Fleming - ACTOR?

On a recent trip to London, I found a theatre program from the early
1950's (I believe - its not dated), for a play called "His Excellency."
Among the actors listed is one called IAN FLEMING. Is this THE Bond Ian
Fleming?
If so, did he appear in any other plays?

No - its an actor of the same name (1888-1969).

Not the same Fleming. The actor Fleming did some old Sherlock Holmes
movies if I remember correctly.

i have a copy of the film "The Triumph of Sherlock Holmes." it is from
1935 starring Arthur Wontner as Holmes and Ian Fleming as Watson. after
viewing it , i can assure you it wasn't Ian Fleming the author. perhaps
this is the same Ian Fleming you are referring to.
