The following message is from pa...@netvoyage.net
(puranjana dasa)

Dear prabhus, pammho. agtsp.

Srila Prabhupada described the 1930's Gaudiya Matha's
"appointed guru" project as, essentially nothing more
[and nothing less] than an unlawful vehicle to usurp the
properties and assets of the Gaudiya Mission. "To cheat
the God brothers out of the property," etc. In short,
criminal fraud against the charitable purpose of the
Gaudiya Matha.

[Please help us gather quotes on this topic, those of
you with folios].

A growing number of post-1977 greater ISKCON's members
are beginning to feel that this is what has occured in
Prabhupada's mission as well.

Some of the questions that need to be resolved therefore
are:

1. Is the appointment of 11 gurus in ISKCON legally
provable?

2. Were assets used for ISKCON's purposes, as stated in
its charters, statements of purpose, and corporate
documents, or were some/any/all assets misapproriated to
benefit certain persons, namely those in the guru
clique?

3. Did any of the "ISKCON gurus" get any personal
benefits from being gurus, like their Gaudiya Matha
predecessors, and if so what and how much etc.? Did the
other gurus know that cetain other gurus were diverting
ISKCON's money to build their personal empires and
personal funds, trusts, book trusts, tape minsitries,
and or etc. and they allowed ISKCON to be used as a
vehicle to divert funds to certain elite "guru"
individuals?

4. Has anyone of ISKCON's past or present leaders
admitted that ISKCON funds were diverted to one or any
of these gurus? Do you know of any instances of such
illegal diversions?

5. Are there any instances of criminal negligence
because funds meant for gurukula children, cows, or
members of the society, were diverted away to make fancy
life-styles for the guru clique?

6. Are there any instances where "gurus" told
individuals to seel oil paintings etc. after the 1980
Syracuse NY case stated that such sales were illegal and
not samkirtana?

7. Are there any instances where devotees were harassed,
mistreated, banned, character assasinated, threatened,
beaten or killed because they did not agree that a "guru
appointment" had taken place?

8. Were some gurus living in private residences, Howard
Johnson Motels, or hiding out in India, while children
were being starved, beaten and raped in the schools
under their juristiction, domain or adminstrative body's
care? Were some or any such cases of abuse reported and
covered up by any GBC or gurus and what are the details?

9. Have any of the guru who left taken ISKCON's assets,
or assets collected inthe name of ISKCON, including
property and manpower meant for ISKCON, of assets of any
type, and were they pursued legally by the GBC or gurus
to recover said assets?

10. Has anyone been harassed at any time, even now, for
not accepting the "appointed guru" scheme, and has thus
been discouraged or banned from any ISKCON property?

11. Have any gurus removed individuals who had been
encouraged or ordered by Prabhupada to make ISKCON their
lifetime career, and that Prabhupada had wanted that
ISKCON would be the source of their livelihood, and if
they were forced out by the guru appointment order, who
ended up paying for their maintenance and how will this
be restituted by the gurus, if they were not in fact
appointed?

[These are a few of the questions, we'll addd many more
later]

Regarding the appointment itself, we are trying to build
a picture of what occured, and we'd like your help in
filling this out:

- In November, 1977 the GBC stated that they had been
appointed as gurus [in May 1977] but they did not
announce what had occured in May, until December.

- In 1978 Srila Prabhupada's letters which described the
[mis] qualifications of the alleged gurus were hidden.
The conversatons....

- The appointment tape was not distributed. Why not?

- In 1980, Tamal Krishna swami stated that there had not
been an appointment of 11 gurus in 1977.

- In 1980, Ramesvara tried to give up his seat stating
that there had not been an appointment of 11 gurus.

- In 1983, [?] Kirtanananda swami told Sulochana dasa
that everyone knows that "gurus are not appointed."

- In 1984, Hamsadutta admitted that the guru appointment
was a hoax.

- In 1985, Hridayananda swami stated to me that the
appointment...

- In 1985, Ravindra Swarupa wrote that he had got a more
complete version of the appointment tape. - In 1996, in
recent e-mails and conversations several ISKCON leaders
[such as Vipramukhya swami, Prithu dasa, and others]
have stated that there had NOT been a guru appointment
of 11 persons in 1977.

- Jayadvaita swami now says that

[...text missing...]

restitution

Conclusion

Personal benefits and or/property of gurus clever
fraudulent betrayal of the charter and constituion of
IKSON. Non profit status. Duty to the peole of the
United States to uphold that the charity purposes the
charter and is accountable to same.
