A good episode, but like Second Time Around actually quite depressing.
I can't answer that question, but I agree it IS depressing. I think
it's the subject matter and the fact children are the victims. Very
dark subject.
Then again, Geoffrey Palmer is FAB as the bad guy. I just adore him
in As Time Goes By. :>)

I think another reason why it's depressing, because unlike Second Time
Around the quality of the episode isn't quite as good, and also Senza
Mamma is perfect in that episode.
Geoffrey Palmer is an excellent actor, and brilliant at dead pan or
dry comedy. I particularly enjoy him in the Fawlty Towers episodes,
and As Times Goes By was a very good series, though I didn't watch
much of the later ones.
