Is it my imagination or is the show scripted? I could swear that he was
reading that stuff about Ellen's new show this morning. I was expecting him
to credit a by-line for an article but he never did.

Okay, stop swearing...he was reading it from a script. It may have been
written by an 'insider' and therefore wasn't credited.

I absolutely had the same impression. Howard was reading the Ellen
bit. Has he shown this kind of laziness before?

And how about repeating the "clown movie" bit as if he's never
discussed it before? Then the rest of the crew are obligated to laugh
at all the right moments and pretend THEY didn't just listen to this
bit a few days ago.

I swear, sometimes I think I'm listening to a rerun.

It's not the crediting I was complaining about. He was obviously reading
and tried to pass it off as an off-the-cuff rambling. He sounded like Jerry
Seinfeld trying to pass off his comedy routine as acting.

How about that guy calling in this morning about Nina Simone's coughing fit.
Now I know Fred is good, but did he just happen to have a sound effect for
heavy coughing. Not that I mind. I still thought it was funny. I guess my
point is, and I know I rarely have one, whether the show is scripted or not
doesn't matter. Entertainment is entertainment to me.

Do you expect him to memorize crap like that, it's mostly radio in there where
movement and reading abound.

Isn't it Starr magazine that always gets their stories directly from the show
and gives no credit back to Howard, maybe he was reading from that mag rag.

DEFINITELY a Zimmerman e-mail. A guy so pathetically bitter and
out-of-place in Hollywood, that he lashes out at the easiest targets
he can find... Rosie, Ellen, etc. He's a stupid man's Dennis Miller.

The thing that pisses you off is that it is SO obviously not Howard's
voice. But Howie keeps reading, as if he's winging it... painfully
awkward to listen to.

The absolute worst point (maybe a new low for the show) was Howard
doing one of these reads, Zimmerman's Oscar Rant, during the 6 AM
hour. As stilted as it was the first time, he then has the audacity
to RE-READ it two hours later, word for word. Even Robin and Artie
seemed surprised, trying to force in a few reactions, or insert a
little banter. Maybe they were as shocked as the rest of us to hear
Howard literally throwing in the towel... For the first time in my
memory, he put ZERO effort into the show.

For the record, Howard followed up this historic event by repeating
another pathetic Zimmerman rant (Rosie's diarrhea) within a few
days...

Howard has become Imus ! Scripted lines with fake laugh track. Next thing you
know Beth will be calling in everyday.I finally took Catbox's advice and tune
out when the show sucks. Between the lame ppv fight and other crap I only
listen a couple of hours a week. The show is like a train wreck. By the end of
this contract Howard will be worse than Imus.

WOW! You are hearing a COMPLETELY different show from the rest of us. Laugh
track? My suggestion: seek immediate mental help. Don't reply to this. Go to
the hospital and check yourself in.
