Madelyn Night Gets Married on Stern
What does it take to marry a porn star? As events developed on
the Howard Stern show this morning, apparently 7 inches worth
of dick and a real healthy affection for voyeurism, Those seemed
to be the two factors that weighed in heavily when porn star Madelyn
Night, 27, showed up on the program to listen to marriage spiels
from six contestants who had submitted to grueling background checks.
"You got to wonder about a guy who would marry a girl he didn't
know," Stern mused. Night said she was ready to have a serious
relationship but that she didn't want to marry anyone in the porn
industry. Night also said she was sure that one of the men would
be acceptable to her. A couple of months ago Stern announced this
event and that the show was contacted by a couple hundred guys.
The prospects eventually whittled down to the six that showed up
today. Gary said that one guy, a Harvard Professor, just backed out
last night. Apparently an anonymity issue was involved and that he
wanted to marry a Jewish porno star. Howard also explained the show
had to go through months of legal wrangling and background checks
before this was set to go. Stern said he could put a show together
on what it took to put it all in place.
Madelyn came in looking gorgeous and "flat as a board," according
to Stern. "It's something fun and I've none this before," Night said.
"I'm looking for a commitment."
Night said she wanted to be married by a Rabbi or a Cantor. Asked
if she wanted to be Jewish, Night said not necessarily but had dated
a lot of Jewish guys and lives in New York. Madelyn also explained
that she's been unable to find herself a guy to marry, and was willing
to go this route to find a husband. Night stipulated that she wanted a
man with a strong personality and that one of the finalists would be
acceptable.
Howard brought each guy in one at a time and asked them a few
questions so Madelyn could get to know them a bit. Here they are:
The first contestant was Steve Tucci, 26, a Catholic from Philadelphia
who has an associates degree in criminal justice. It was pointed out
that Steve's in the wholesale bread business, brings home about
$80,000; is into gambling; loves Atlantic City but acknowledges that
he's lost a good bit of money there. Night said it didn't bother her that
he liked to gamble, and Steve said he would stop on her behalf. [It was
pointed out he's lost about $300,000 gambling; he said the figures were
exaggerated.] Steve says he's been working seven days a work and
has been out of the dating game but is willing to commute to New York
to be with Madelyn. Madelyn said she didn't think she could relocate to
Philadelphia.
Steve's background check revealed that he was arrested for aggravated
assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and
conspiracy. But the charges were amended to disorderly conduct. Steve explained
that it was a rowdy incident at the shore. He said the charges
got dropped to a summary offense with a $50 fine. Another skeleton
in the closet revealed the fact that he was charged in 1997 with receiving
stolen property and the unauthorized use of an automobile. The charges
were dropped. Steve said the charges made him sound like a pretty rough
guy but he was young when they occurred. Steve said the marriage might
be an issue with his parents but they realized it was pretty serious. Night
said she liked his appearance and honesty.
Long time member of the Wack Pack, Kenneth Keith Kallenbach, came
in dressed up and sound he was very serious and wants to get married
and dismissed past incidents when he would come on the show and
light fire crackers up his nose or cut his hair and eat it. "I'm getting more
mature," he said. "He's an attractive man if you get passed the goofy
attitude," Stern told his listeners. Kenneth said he brought his social
security card and birth certificate and wouldn't have done that if he
weren't serious.
Ken is 31 and has no kids and has never been married. He was engaged
once but that didn't work out because he wanted to find someone he
was more sexually attracted to. Kenneth works customer service for
a phone company and makes about $40,000 a year. He also said that
he has a fallback plan - an internet chick who said she'd marry him if
this didn't work out.
It was pointed out that Ken was once fired for urinating on a toilet
seat. "They tried to say that," he said but that it was a sting operation.
Ken was also arrested for DUI at one time but says that he doesn't
do drugs anymore. "I drink socially," he says. He says he also used
to smoke 10 joints a day in High School but that's over with.
It was also brought up that Ken once took a shit in the woods and
videotaped it for Howard. Ken said he's selling the tape on his website
and has also done a porn film, which gives him something in common
with Madelyn.
When asked, Kenneth said he wasn't a woman beater. "I was out
of hand but that was only one time. I've dated hundreds of girls." He
also noted that his parents have been married for 40 years but they
had no say in what he was going to do.
Kenneth who lives in Philadelphia said he would relocate for Night's
sake. Among his claims to fame is the fact he got cut out of the
movie Jerry Maguire. When asked, Kenneth said he'd take Madelyn
to the most expensive restaurant in New York to celebrate their
marriage and bragged that he had $50,000 in the bank. After hearing
what Kenneth had to say, Steve still felt pretty confident in his chances.
High Pitch Erik was also a contestant and noted that he had sex
recently with porn stars Alexandra Quinn, Dynamite and Cleopatra.
Nevertheless Stern let Madelyn know that Erik had trouble getting it
up and that it might be a problem in the future.
Erik lives in Queens and is Jewish. He said he works part time for
a cleaning company and makes around $100 to $500 a week. He
also does extra work in TV shows. It was noted that Erik's father
pays his rent but that he pays the utilities. Erik is not gay, Gary
informed Madelyn. Erik said he wanted to be a talk show host, and
Stern said Erik proved clean in a background check. Erik tried sweet
talking Night and said he wanted kids.
Erik, who lives in a studio apartment, has two cats but Madelyn
said she's allergic to cats. Erik said he'd get rid of them for her.
Unfortunately, Erik was out of the running right from the start. Be
that as it may, Erik said he didn't tell his parents about this but felt
his father would still pay his apartment bill.
The next contestant was Joe Franco, 29, a high school graduate
from Elizabeth New Jersey. Joe works for an import-export company
and makes about $32,000 a year. Single, he has a five year old son
but has never been married. The woman who left him thought the
grass was greener on the other side, he said. But Joe said he would
have stayed with her. Joe pays child support.
Joe, who sounds like Jerry Lewis, also mentioned he was once asked
to be in the Mafia but resisted the temptation even though he'd shine
the shoes of wiseguys. The rap sheet also showed that Joe was also
once arrested for egging a car on Halloween. However, he said that
he doesn't use drugs. Because he lives in New Jersey, Joe said
commuting to be with Madelyn wouldn't be a problem. Joe also said
he's a very spontaneous person.
The fidelity issue was brought up several times. Night said she found
Joe attractive even though she said she still wanted to do movies. She
did stipulate that she'd be faithful but would bring women home. Joe
thought that would be great. When asked, Night said she's slept with
four men outside of working in the industry.
Joe made it clear that he wouldn't be controlling husband and,
confessing that he was the black sheep of the family, commented
that his parents knew what he was up to.. He also said he'd agree to a
commuting relationship in order to work the marriage into a comfort level.
Night sweepstakes entrant Walter McGee, a 36 year old Catholic
from Long Island, New York, majored in Russian studies in college.
He works as planner/engineer designing compressed air systems for
oil refineries and factories and makes about $40,000. Walter says he
comes from a family that's pretty liberal and didn't have a problem with
it. Stern noted that he wasn't a bad-looking guy, and Walter said he
was tired of the singles' scene and wanted to be his wife's protector
and Madelyn's knight in shining armor. Walter said he liked all kinds
of beach activities including water sports and wind surfing. He also
does a little singing.
Stern pointed out that Walter used to be an Elvis impersonator and
has even stripped as Elvis at weddings and social events. Walter
said he doesn't do that much of that anymore. He's never been married
and was once arrested for DWI, and got a reduced sentence. Walter
was also arrested for assaulting a cop when they hassled him over
trying to get into his family's business building. He said he didn't have
the keys and the cops thought he was trying to rob the place. He didn't
have his ID on him. The cops didn't buy it. "They got rough with me and
I got rough right back," he said. He dismissed the incident as a silly
thing and nothing major.
Walter said he'd like to have someone judge him based on his
character and not the size of his wallet. Night agreed. Even Steve
had to acknowledge that Walter, who sounded like a pretty responsible
guy, was leading the pack of candidates at that point. At this juncture,
Kenneth put in the pitch that he was the best candidate.
The last contestant was 33 year old Steven Scott, the vice president
of his family's business. Steve said he runs the day-to-day operations
and will be making quite a lot of money in the next few years. However
he wasn't too inclined to talk money even though he said that he does
very well for himself and is a good catch. He said work didn't afford him
to many opportunities and that's why he was still single.
Steve works in Philly but said he was also willing to make the commute
to see Madelyn. He has never been arrested and said that his family
doesn't have a problem with him marrying a porn star. He also said he
doesn't use drugs anymore although he does drink but admitted he
needed more excitement in his life and was willing to take a risk.
A total honesty advocate, Steve, too, said he wouldn't get all-controlling
in the relationship and thought it would be great if Madelyn brought
other women home, provided they were women. Steve, who's only had
one serious relationship in his life, also agreed a commuter relationship
would work best. Steve said he told his father about everything and that
his father told him to go for it. Steve, who hasn't had sex in a year, said
he would make sure that Madelyn would be satisfied in every way.
Stern said he was impressed with the selection, that the guys seemed
normal whereas he was expecting a freak show. "I could understand
banging a porn star but this is a marriage," he said. Stern was impressed
that the guys "put their balls on the line."
Madelyn asked each of the guys if they'd be willing to have kids and
all of them said they didn't have a problem with that. They all tried
sweet talking her a little bit more but it didn't take long for her to knock
at least two of them out of the running. Kenneth Keith and High Pitch
Erik aced from the get go. Madelyn ruled out Kenneth by the way he
was dressed. Erik never had a chance even though he tossed in the
incentive that his father works for a perfume company and that she
would always have free samples.
In paring down her list of candidates, Night brought up the issue of
maturity in her selection. Kenneth immediately started calling her a
ho-skank, saying that he didn't really want to be with a chick who'd
be sleeping with other dudes. Night said if Keith had dressed better...
When pressed, Madelyn said that she had narrowed it down to the two
Steves based on their style and the way they looked but she told Stern
that she had to take a few minutes to make her decision. Howard took
a break while Madelyn spoke to a couple of her friends including
Montana Gunn and Josh her web guy.
After an intolerably long commercial break, Madelyn came back and
said that she wanted to know more about penis length. [Remember,
in an earlier interview, she said that wasn't an issue, but now it apparently
was.] Gunn was also brought on in this segment. Gunn said she gave
Night a whole bunch of advice. Stern commented that it was weird that
she'd seek advice at this juncture. "I don't want someone that's really
tiny," Night said. "Not like two inches." The question of oral sex was
also brought up.
Both Steves said that they were ''average'' penis size - around 6 inches.
Night's friends also had her ask if they'd be willing to do a porno with
her. Stern thought that the whole situation took a weird turn to the
business side. Howard said that it went from a sweet thing to a very
business like situation. After consideration, the two Steves said they
were weren't really into the porno thing but they said they might be
talked into it. Stern questioned Night why she would want to drag her
husband on-camera and turn him into every other guy she bangs.
That's when she said she had a thing for voyeurism. "I love being
watched," she said. Steve Tucci was critical about the vibe Gunn
was lending and that Gunn was "too off the charts" for him. Steve
Scott also agreed.
Then Walter spoke up and said that he was 7 inches and that he
likes the whole voyeurism thing so he'd be into that. Gunn said she
thought Walter was cute but Night said her friends had no influence
on her decision. But within a few seconds, Madelyn had made her
decision and it was Walter who she chose. Night reasoned that she
liked to be watched. Because Night said she wanted to remain in the
adult business and because Walter seemed to be able to go with the
flow, he got picked. Walter said he was pretty shocked, especially
when she initially narrowed her choices to the two Steves.
Steve Tucci acknowledged that he made honest comments, and the
other Steve said that Madelyn wasn't looking for what he was looking for.
Walter already had a ring with him and started reciting a Russian
love poem to Night. Walter had his brother Brett [who said he was
very proud of his brother] there with him to be his best man whereas
Gunn was Madelyn's bride's maid. Stern thought it was a pretty good
match.
A famous Jewish Cantor was there to perform a quickie ceremony.
Cantor David Benedict has done some other high-profile ceremonies
like the wedding in Goodbye Columbus. He also performed Stuttering
John's wedding and also appeared on ''The Nanny'' in a wedding episode.
The Cantor sang some song about finding love joy and happiness
and did the ''I Do's'' with the couple very quickly. Benedict said this
was one of the crazier weddings he performed. "And this could be
one of the longest lasting weddings I've performed. You never know,"
said Cantor Benedict.
After the ceremony it sounded like Gunn was ready to marry Kenneth
Keith since she thought he was cute. But Stern said he couldn't sit
through another ceremony. "There's marriage fever in here," he quipped.
Kenneth said, 'You're all a bunch of weirdos!" Asked to put up or shut
up about Kallenbach, Gunn said she was already taken.
Madelyn and Walter then kissed without tongue and are now ready
to live the rest of their lives together. The check is also in the mail.
Asked how she felt after the first kiss, Madelyn said she was excited.
Kenneth Keith's take was that Madelyn made the choice on the basis
of looks. Night confessed it hadn't registered yet that she got married.
Stern wished them a long-lasting, real marriage. "Don't be like me -
miserable." Jackie the Jokeman was first to bring up the divorce issues.
Asked about a honeymoon, Walter said he had to go back to work Friday.
The show will air on the E! channel July 19-20.
