I just picked up the Private Parts Soundtrack and noticed that LL Cool J's
name was "blacked-out" from the credits. It was there for the song
writing credits, just no performance credit. And where it usually says,
for example: LL Cool J appears courtesy of blah, blah, blah ... His name
was "blacked-out" there as well.

Anyone know why?

Post a reply and E-Mail me as well as I seldom check newsgroups these days.

Thanks in advance.

On Stern's show this morning they didn't know the EXACT reason for LL Cool
J's name being blacked out, however they said it involved an infringement
of his current contract with a different recording label OTHER THAN warner
bros. who chose not to allow his name to appear on the album.

His label did not want him to work with the soundtracks label. So they
made them remove L.L.'s name.
