He's 45 years old.
Do the math.

Born in 1954.
Volunteered at 17 in 1971.
Mathematically possile.

He could have volunteered at 17 in 1971. Out of boot camp he could have
volunteered for Nam, arriving in country in the spring of 1971. He could
have served two tours of duty up to the time that US combat troops were
withdrawn in March 1973. To serve his third tour of duty he could have
then volunteered to serve as an advisor to the ARVN.
To say that Howard is too young to have served in Viet Nam is incorrect.

Volunteers for duty in Nam were willingly accomadated. I did not say that
Howard served. However, it is mathematically possible for Howard to have
served in Nam.

For the record, there have been examples of kids aged 15-17 signing up
for the army in a fit of patriotism, then serving for however many
years they wanted.
But Howard was never there.
Would've been some great footage for Private Parts if he was, though!

Don't tell me you believe that story about his attending Boston University!?
Too wimpy though...
They could have called it Saving Private Parts!
