Singer Crespo accused of masturbating on plane

MIAMI (AP) - Merengue star Elvis Crespo is being investigated after a
woman said she saw him masturbating on an airplane en route from Houston
to Miami.
According to a Miami-Dade County police report, the Grammy winner was
doing it in view of other passengers on a flight last week. That
prompted the plane's captain to radio Miami International Airport.
Officers interviewed the Puerto Rican singer upon his arrival but did
not arrest him. No charges have been filed, but an investigation
continues.
When asked by police about the incident, Crespo said: "I don't recall
doing that."
His publicist did not immediately return a message left Wednesday by The
Associated Press.

The passenger said that at one point the blanket moved, leaving Crespo's
genitals exposed.
Newspaper stories in Puerto Rico's El Nuevo Día and Primera Hora added
that at least one flight attendant approached the singer and asked him
to stop.
Crespo's claim to fame is his 1999 hit Suavemente, for which he got his
first Latin Grammy nomination.
When interrogated by the police, Crespo allegedely said he "did not
remember" the incident. A bad case of jetlag?
