How many possible two person relationships are there across the entire globe? Assuming there are 7 billion people on Earth you have to form the 7,000,000,000th triangular number, which is closely given by 7,000,000,000 squared divided by 2, or 24.5 quadrillion.
But what if you want to limit it to just heterosexual couples? Then you need the 3.5 billionth triangular number, 3,500,000,000 squared divided by 2 , or 6.125 quadrillion.
