I unforget some movie , seems a romantic couple were standing in front of a porthole and the view through it was a planet , probably earth I guess , and they were talking about how they were doomed and they would crash into the planet and in the view through the porthole the planet kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger and closer and closer and finally the entire scene goes black . pretty inexpensive way to portray that.
I unforget another movie called "when worlds collide " not "when girls collide " the lesbian version , and in it the planet which destroys the earth has a previous close pass to Earth and astronomers viewing it could tell it was inhabited because they could see streets and other signs of civilization ,which I thought was pretty neat.

It's good that most messages sent to other entities are ignored because if every message you sent to other entities were answered the system would become saturated with white noise and no information at all could be transferred between anyone or anything.

There's really no room for anger in our society anymore . You get angry with someone and you'll be very lucky if you don't destroy that relationship.

One of the great flaws of our society is you bring up a store's website and it's a special day like a holiday or something, you want to know when they open but of course the people in the store were too lazy or they didn't realize it would be to their benefit to actually change their website with the correct time , so you bop on down there and the doors are closed and you tell yourself that's the last time for that store, Unless you live in a small rural town where there is only
one store and you'll starve to death if you don't go to it so then you just go in and don't say anything you, you plunk your money down , don't say anything to the cashier and walk out and tell yourself "hey , that's life here on planet Earth."

Oh I see now , he doesn't stay there for a year , that's just the name of the year , the year of the cat , he stays there several days while they make wild passionate love and then she tires of him and pushes him back out through the secret door he came in through and he wanders aimlessly on the streets for several days until he winds up in the American Embassy at which point they get him on a flight home . perhaps not so romantic as the song but realistic anyway.

I really like that episode of king of the rocketmen where he is fighting the bad guys on the roof of a skyscraper and the bad guys throw hm over the side and he just twiddles the knobs on his control unit and flies away , never have been able to find a video of that episode, the control unit was very interesting, it had labels on it like up and down, right and left , I think that was copied directly from the space shuttle cockpit.
