"Frasier" Ends After 11 Years

Long-running sitcom "Frasier" went out in style Thursday night with
a show of stars.

The regular cast was joined by Robbie Coltrane, Richard E. Grant,
Laura Linney, Wendy Mallick, Jennifer Beals and Anthony Lapaglia as
they bid "Goodnight Seattle" one final time.

The hour-long finale was packed with big decisions and big moments
as Frasier's dad Martin (John Mahoney) wed his girlfriend Ronnie
(Mallick) and the TV shrink's brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce)
became a dad when his wife Daphne (Jane Leeves) went into labor in a
vet's surgery.

Meanwhile, Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) quit his radio job in Seattle
for a new post in San Francisco after first inadvertently worrying
his family and friends he was dying.

The show ended with Frasier embracing his family and quoting
Tennyson on his radio show, before sending out a special
message, "For 11 years you've heard me say I'm listening, well, you
were listening too, and for that I am eternally graceful. Goodnight
Seattle."

The final scene left the door open for future shows as Frasier
touched down in Chicago, Illinois, instead of San Francisco in a bid
to win the hand of his girlfriend Charlotte (Linney).

And the starry touch didn't end there - as the credits rolled on the
final Frasier, stars like Helen Mirren, Benjamin Bratt, Hilary Duff
and Penny Marshall, who were among those who provided voices to
Frasier's talk show callers over the years, were remembered.
