Most interesting flash of a scene when Wo Fat gets into the car, after
murdering Victor, and Kaye is there. That one I didn't see coming.

what kind of analyst was she? did it take a genius to realize that after she
turned over McGarrett to Wo Fat, she'd have absolutely no value to him? and in
the unlikely event that the trade even went the way she thought it would, how
would she explain the rescue of the boyfriend, the disappearance of McGarrett
and her demise when McGarrett caught up with her?

Some *big* holes in the thought process of the writers.
My guess is that they needed a way to show that Wo Fat was from N Korea
in this generation - not mainland China (where iirc he was from in the
original). How else to bring McGarrett and Wo Fat together?

Kaye's "conversion" to a good-guy at the end wasn't believable. Even
buying that she did it all for the boyfriend, she was cold and calculating
while working for Five-O and also informing to Wo Fat. We're to believe
she had a Darth Vader/Anakin moment at the end when she realized that she
was a dead (wo)man - to clear her conscience?

I dont agree that it made him North Korean, just that he had some
contacts there. WoFat is a Chinese name, and its not too unrealistic
that a (Red) Chinese guy would have North Korean contacts.

It is interesting that all the asians are korean at least in real life
even tho the character names are still Hawaiian.

In episode #19 of season one, Jenna tells us that Wo Fat was an agent
in the Ministry of State Security (MSS), the Chinese Government's
intelligence arm, responsible for foreign intelligence and
counterintelligence operations. After achieving the rank of Colonel,
Wo disappeared, later to emerge as a major player in the criminal
underworld, where he killed at least 23 people.

Except these "North Koreans" are "rebels." STUPID!

The people writing stories for this show should avoid anything to do
with North Korea. Compare the first season episode "The Siege" which
had some Kim Jong-Il-like leader in a story which was equally absurd.

its hard to be politically correct and relevant at the same time.
Today's ally is tomorrow's target and vice versa. It was easier when
the USSR existed and might be again, the way Putnin is heading.
