Just read in this morning's newspaper that Danny Kamekona died (found
dead in his Gardena, CA apartment). He was one of my favorites, and
definitely very popular in Hawaii. I don't know if he got his start in
Five-O but certainly, he went on to have parts in a lot of other movies
and t.v. shows/commercials. The Wash (a movie), Karate Kid, and many
others.

Karen -- We'll be sending you the news clipping.

This is sad news ... he was definitely "the hardest working guy in Hawaiian show
business" when the series was being filmed...

Including the recent revival of the TV series "Burke's Law".

What a shame. Bless his heart. He was one of my favorites, too, and
a favorite of a lot of the fans.

Thanks! I just did the March newsletter (that is a LONG story of why
it's so late) but there's room for me to fudge in a little announcement,
anyway, and there'll be more in the next one.
