I wonder how Don's grieving song enjoyed reading on your page about how
"annoying" his father was on the show!

>Which episodes would be ones where Knight would have been considered "Good"?
Not The Kahuna or Ring of Life...

He is always a bad guy. See one of the Vashon episodes, The Gift of Love
and The Bells Toll at Noon (where he is the bad guy menaced by a psycho).
Well, he was at his most pleasant in "The Bells Toll at Noon" though he was
still a bad guy. He did his usual screaming and ranting, but in this episode
it was out of terror.
In the "Ways of Love" he's also a bad guy, but he's not really offensive. He
was a conspirator in the jewel theft and drove the car that Celeste Caro
jumped out of, but he's beat up by Dave Barca who also later shoots him. More
of a pathetic charachter than a viscous one.
I think he was the perfect hitman a Vashon would hire in "V for Vashon, the
Father". Business oriented with money the bottom line, even if murder is the
service he's selling. Even manages to throw in a threat to Vashon: " if it
(the payment) is not done, my next job's for free--you!" to Honore. Cool as a
cucumber, which for Knight is out of charachter.
"Flash of Color,..." and "Ring of Life" are classic Knight. He steals, he
kills, it's for money and he's not about to be obstructed. Rather than be
cool, he uses verbal abuse and rage as additional weopons to his arsenal.
Classic exclamation from "Flash..": "OPEN IT!!!!!!" In "Flash..." he kills
two, bludgeons another, and could be held responsible for a third death (Jake,
the robber's garage boss). "Ring of Life" he brutally kills one and is
credited with two other murders.
"The Kahuna" is a strange appearance for Knight; for the first two thirds of
this episode Knight's charachter is nothing more than a minor role. It's not
'til the last act that Knight flares up, and he manages to outdo his previous
appearances as far as being a maniac go. He's maniacal, dispicable,
pathetic, and calculating, all at the same time. And in the end we find his
charachter is responsible for two murders.
I guess I'd have to say I'm a Don Knight fan as far as his work on Five-0 goes.
Though maybe not classic, his appearances were memorable.

I can't believe he could be that rotten in real life or he would have been in
jail. :-)
