How many of you will be disappointed if Harry dies?
If Harry lives?
Snape dies?
Snape Lives?
Snape is evil?
Snape is good?
Voldy lives?
Voldy dies?
Ok, ok, I'll stop for now :)

Well, since I have this running bet with a friend, I guess you could
say I'd be pretty disappointed (and not to mention, broke) if Harry
doesn't come out on top.
Erik.
By coming out on top I assume you mean that Harry will Vanquish V. That
was a foregone conclusion since the first book. *HOW* is the mystery -
but that he will do so - is too obvious to even bet on.
>Ok, here's a little question for you.

>How many of you will be disappointed if Harry dies?
Well, Harry will die, but if he dies before defeating LV, I would be
VERY disappointed, if he falls along with LV, then I will not, he
would give his life for the greater good.
>If Harry lives?
Not at all, possibly he will have many children, and become the
Minister of Magic (eventually)
>Snape dies?
IMO this is a forgone conclusion, I would not be disappointed, unless
it is NOT resolved once and for all which side of the stret he is
walking on.
>Snape Lives?
Depending on how he behaves after (if?) LV is defeated, I could be
very disappointed.
>Snape is evil?
It depends on how you define evil (no I am not an ex-president) He is
certainly vile to those not in his own house, but if he is NOT evil,
then this could be to make the other houses better at the things they
will need.
>Snape is good?
See above
>Voldy lives?
If LV lives, I would feel as if I deluded myself through all 6
(posibly 7) books.
>Voldy dies?
A fitting end to an evil git.
>Ok, ok, I'll stop for now :)

Yes, Harry's heart must still be beating when the word 'scar' appears
on the last page.
That's the bet. I'll win of course :-)
All the best from Amsterdam,
Erik
> If Harry lives?
Not big shock.
> Snape dies?
I am expecting this to happen.
> Snape Lives?
I will be REAAAALLY disappointed. All that good people dying when Snape
is alive and well?????!!!
> Snape is evil?
Not surprise.
> Snape is good?
I'll throw my book away, scream, run around the house twice. Then I'll
pick it up and continue reading.
> Voldy lives?
He might survive in the way Barty Crouch is "surviving".
> Voldy dies?
I think I've seen many terror movies but somehow, even if he's AKed,
I'll be expecting him to return :)

You know how to kill Dracula, don't you? A stake in the heart isn't
enough. You also have to drive a stake into the hearts of every
movie producer in the world.

Not very.
>If Harry lives?
Not very.
>Snape dies?
A bit.
>Snape Lives?
Not very.
>Snape is evil?
Very
>Snape is good?
Saw it coming.
>Voldy lives?
Don't see how. The prophecy says one must die.
>Voldy dies?
Has to.
>Ok, ok, I'll stop for now :)
Very happy.
I won't be disappointed either way as long as the book is good, and the
final showdown between Harry and Voldemort isn't lame. I kind of want to
see a good wizard's duel between the two without something cheesey happening
or someone/something showing up to help Harry or wands connecting ...
> Snape dies?

> Snape Lives?
Doesn't matter to me either way as long as the story involving him is good.
> Snape is evil?
>
> Snape is good?
I personally think he is evil -- though not as much as Voldemort, and he is
playing on both sides of the fence so he can be on the side of the victor no
matter who wins. I think he joined Voldemort initially because he enjoys
power and ruling over others. My theory on why he switched (or started
playing both sides) is because after he heard the prophecy, he probably
thought to himself, "Wow, my boss is going to get his ass handed to him by a
baby. I'd better switch sides so I'm not thrown into prison when he dies."
However, knowing that his boss was working to make himself immortal -- if
not immortal already, a little voice in his head probably said something
like "If the boss is immortal, that means the kid can't kill him, so just to
be safe, I'd better make sure the boss thinks I'm still on his side.
Therefore, the best role for me to play in all this is that of the Double
agent."

I think he will suffer a worse fate than death, and I feel that it has
something to do that his soul will be totally destroyed though his body may
still linger, and he cannot join the afterlife on the other side of the veil
in the department of mysteries.

Snape must live, be him good or evil!! And kick Harry's ass for years to
come. Seriously, I hope book 7 to be better than Hollywood movies. Although
<spoiler> demise leaves few room for hope.

Don't be so sure
If the last chapter is a summary of the remainder of Harry's life after
V - along with the others - it is just possible that Harry will have
died (After a long more normal life) and that is when the scar finally
disappeared.
Hey, I'm just coming over from the Mirror Thread, but if Harry's
Heart's desire is to be with his family and he gets his wish, he must
die, but hopefully only when he is done with his mission and good and
ready to go. Of course, his desire to be with his family may no longer
be his greatest wish, he may simply want to curl up with Ginnny and
start his own family.
Or some nice warm socks. Or go to Disneyland. or learn how to clog
dance.
