Hello everyone
I new this amazing group and I want to buy the Harry Potter books.
I saw a really good price on Amazon, but before I buy the books I want
your opinion about books.

Is good price do you think?

Thank you
Mr.Potter

Don't know about the price, but recomend you get the UK version of the
books instead of the US version. The idioms are better and capture the
characters better. If had read the US version I'd have missed the "pecker"
comment in OOTP. Though, if I had read the US version, I wouldn't have
sprayed my monitor with Mt Dew (and no, I didn't just steal the book - I
bought both the US and UK versions - in hard back no less - all seven of
them).

Yes, but then the original poster wouldn't get the small commission Amazon
apparently pays to anyone buying something on the personalised link in his
posting...

Cynical, me?

I have seen this mentioned about Amazon links but I'm not sure if it's
actually true - can anyone confirm? Thanks!

I was also going to mention the personal links for commissions... kind of
deceptive the way it used here in the group.
